McDermott and Brady address the offense being "too cute".

Brady seems to justify it. McDermott doesn't seem happy. And I think he's correct. Look for Buffalo to get back to basics and downhill running this week IMO.

The handoff to Knox and the fumble was a real head scratcher

They said Knox hasn't taken a handoff in six years...

Your second sentence is part of the reason why your first sentence is true.

Just arrogant play calling IMO.

It looked like it was blocked perfectly.  Josh said the fumble happened because of a bad snap exchange.

doesn’t seem like a coaching issue.

I just went and watched it from the sideline view. If the handoff is made, it was going to go for some yards.

Imagine if the Bulls wasted Michael Jordan’s entire career with Doug Collins because ownership was simply content with contending…

The difference is that Jordan demanded more from the organization he played for.

Unfortunately Josh doesn’t seem like he is that type of player to ever confront ownership about personnel decisions. Josh is too much of a “nice guy” to a fault. There’s a reason why guys like Jordan and Brady were so successful. All they cared about was winning and they didn’t accept anything less.

The coaching issue comes from calling a play for a handoff to a guy that hasn't had one in a live game in 6 years in that spot.

And let's also just say that not everything Josh says is factual. He plays nice a LOT in the way he phrases things and how he frames his answers.

Still better option than what we currently have.

Obviously has talent. Just seems he may be an a$$hat that no one wants to put up with.

We don’t know what he says behind the scenes. We know how he is with the media.

This play still triggers me

How many guys active on game day would have been better choices to run that play for.

I think it's easier to say who Knox is above in that pecking order - the offensive & defensive lineman and maybe Mitch trubisky

This this this!!!

A perfect analogy.  I was a big Bulls fan in the day as well.  Another basketball example is the Warriors.  Almost got there with Jackson as the coach, changed to Kerr and the rest is history.

Gotta assume these two spots will be going to Hoecht and Ogunjobi after Monday!

Good point on O gun taking sanders spot and just having an elevation for this weekend (Mathis or Phillips).

Hoecht coming back would mean 6 DEs but I suppose with only 4 DTs and 1 fewer S they could make it work.

Boy are they thin in the secondary.

Last week: Stefon Diggs returns to Buffalo.

This week: Zion Logue returns to Atlanta!

Raptors fired Casey and immediately won a title. Bucs fired Dungy. Eagles fired Reid. All of those teams won a title.

There have been several instances where a team got a new HC to put them over the top. And sometimes a HC needs a change too.

I really hope Hoecht and Ogunjobi aren’t a couple of JAGS. A lot of hopes and dreams riding on these guys to right the ship on D. Not so sure they’ll be the cure.

I hope as well but my expectations are minimum. Hoecht is an undrafted player that has played 4 seasons in the NFL. He has 13.5 sacks or roughly 3.5 per season. That doesn’t move the bar for our DL IMO.  In reality, our D is what it is and I think it’s gonna be a major liability all season.

Our secondary is hanging by a thread. Our LB core is Bernard, Williams and Shaq. Not expecting Milano to even get back to 💯 this year. And the DL just disappears far too often when it matters.

Our reserves are former players that probably weren’t getting signed anywhere else! IE: Jordan Phillips, Jordan Poyer and  Dane Jackson

i don’t see how anyone can look at this and say the Bills are really serious about winning a SB! We’ve gone into yet another season where it’s all on Josh!

As others have stated, you take Josh out of the equation and we’d be looking at a six win season based upon the roster.

Ed missing is a crusher.

Need our 3 "paid" guys from this offseason, Groot/Bernard/Benford to make more impact plays.  Those 3+Ed are our "core", plus Milano who is basically so injury riddled that he cant be counted on for long stretches.

Our middle pass rush is so weak without Ed.

Playing our best come playoffs is always key.  Its difficult to assess what we even have with this defense, until we get into late November/early December IMO.  Suspended guys will have reps by then+ Max (hopefully)+ stay more healthy / get Sanders and Milano back.

When they replaced Collins with Phil Jackson, Bulls won 6 NBA titles in 7 years.

You are 1000% right

One of the weakest takes from the TBD community is that we should be happy cause we are a contender and have a chance
