I don't understand. The ball was well in the air and the contact comes early. What does that have to do with the pocket? It's not illegal contact it's pass interference

You are correct lol you can jam guys when the qb has the ball outside the pocket but pi absolutely exists

Maybe this team isn’t that good. Could easily be 2-3 instead of 4-1.

vrabel and maye are going to be a problem for a long while in this division.

bills just don’t have enough star power to get it done in the grand scheme.

Yep.  We have struggled with some of the worst teams in the league to start this year.  We just don’t have the talent to compete.  And our coaches are routinely out coached by the best.

Kicking the field goal to tie the game with 2:20 on the clock was a horrendous coaching decision.

Best case scenario, you're tieing the game and putting it on the back of your defense to keep them out of Field Goal range, when they're going to be playing with all 4 downs. When we're the walking wounded on Defense and they've proven all game they can't stop them.

That was a scenario where you go for it. If you don't make it, you lose. But kicking the field goal was always a recipe for losing too. I wouldn't even call it coward ball because it didn't even put us ahead. Just plain ole' stupid.

Go for it on 4th and 10 instead of kicking a 45 yard game-tieing FG? I think you’re absolutely wrong and analytics will say the same

the refs made some weak calls but our bills played sloppy. Not all of the flags were bogus

No but what drives me positively bonkers is double-standards, particularly in the first half, when holds are called on the Bills and equivalent or worse are deemed fine for the opponent. Or what the hell even is illegal contact on a goddamn flea-flicker.

Nope I was thinking as Inread the thread “typical Bills fans over reacting” You guys are such gloom and boomers even telling you your team be fine gets some sort of angry response.. like how dare I say your Bills are still the class of the AFCE..

You should probably read the room and come back another time.

not to rip Josh too much, but he also blew it on our first red zone trip. Was supposed to hand the ball to Ty on a sweep on 3rd down, which was wide open. Instead of trusting him, he kept the ball And got nailed and had to flip it for like a 5-yard loss (and two penalties).

Josh is fallible. Which is fine. He’s human. But Josh made a lot of poor choices tonight. Hopefully this was just a blip

God awful officiating in this game.

Ticky-tack garbage killed 3 of our offensive drives.

Illegal formation on 2nd drive.

Holding on McGovern killed the 5th drive.

OPI on Shakir led to the INT in the red zone.

I think we win this game pretty easily with a non-biased officiating crew.

Maye and Diggs killed them

They put up 23 points in a game where the officials were extending their drives and killing ours all night long for absolutely nothing. Great game from those two, but it wouldn't have been nearly enough without a ton of help.

If anyone thought we were going 17-0, you are a simpleton. It always sucks losing but the Bills are still in the drivers seat to win the division and be the #1 seed.

Outside turnovers and penalties this is the kind of game FO wants tbh

And therein lies a huge problem.

Let JOSH be JOSH

Lot of blame to go around.

but Josh blew it on that last drive, hunting big plays. Very weird regression.

What game did some of you watch?

Its 1st and 10 at the spot where we eventually kick the game tying field goal

1st down: WR screen. Shakir drops it.

2nd down: Every single WR runs a route that is 10+ yards downfield. In fact, every WR is in the endzone when Coleman goes to catch the ball. Cook is the only person open short and it would have been for a 3 yard catch (and he would have been wrecked by the LB immediately).

3rd down: No one is open past the sticks. You wanted Allen to throw a 2 yard pass to Shavers, which would have given us 4th and 8?

WTF are you watching?

This games was lost because Brady and his stupid play calling and a defence that can not get to the QB. The Bills need to go into game thinking about scoring as many points as possible.  Our record is 4-1 but could easily be 1-4,  getting tired of these endless passes behind the line.

Brady and defensive coordinator need to get it together

True.  This team is a handful of plays away from being 1-4.

Just gonna move on from this one.  People are going to blame the defense meanwhile the offense scored 20 points and made everything look hard.

Offense can’t score 30+ every night. A lot of the $$$ is tied up in the defense……you’d think they’d be able to force a punt at a critical moment!

Only he's not.

He's not a finisher

He's an "advanced metric" guy

While Ed hasn't lived up to his pre draft billing, he's still the best DT we have on this team and arguably second best pass rusher.

Do you really enjoy just being playoff regulars but never good enough to make a Super Bowl? Let alone win …that’s all we will ever be with McDermott (who has quite possible the best qb in nfl history)
