this is where I’m at too.  McDermott has no levers left to pull.  His defensive schemes dont work when it counts.  And now his team is starting to look like an undisciplined sloppy mess.  We aint gonna repeat what we did on offense last season.  And the defense gets worse every year.

Yeah and it’s nonsense. Pats are not a bad team, but they’ve still got a ways to go. They’ll be tougher than Jets and ‘Phins for the foreseeable future though.

There is no such thing as a must win game during week 5, where if you lose you are still tied for first in the conference. There's just way too much football to be played.

The Ravens and Texans had a must win game today, we did not.

We'll see. Every year we miss the 1 seed. And we. And we can all go back and pick out the games that cost us that. This, I believe, was one of those games.

Problem is we’ve seen how the story ends.  And this year the D is worse and it will be hard to duplicate last years success on offense.

this is just letting off steam. We've seen this movie for the last 5 seasons to get that upset over it

It just feels like we'll need some luck to actually get a title.  I guess you can say that about almost any title team - but it's just more so w/ us.  

 

Allen is as good as anyone out there, but the team is just lacking. Always.  We don't have the big playmakers that you need on both sides of the ball.

 

I'm reserving full pessimism until we get Hairston & the suspended guys back & see if it makes any kind of dramatic impact.  I'm not holding my breath, though.  I hate to be so negative. I mean, we MIGHT win it all this year. But we'll need some bounces w/ the way this team is.

They glossed over it pretty good though.  Just like they ignored Diggs not having control before he went out of bounds on that one diving catch, and also managed not to show a clear replay of where the ball was when Maye’s knee hit the ground.  That’s the kind of play that usually gets frame-by-frame treatment especially on a national telecast.  Not tonight though. And it was like McD knew a challenge would be futile and just result in losing a TO.

I know its a semi big ask...but we really need Harrison to come in and shine.   Same with Hoecht and Ogunjobi.

But if it bounces into the end zone and doesn’t go out…you have to return it, or risk a turnover and TD.  You know, the way the rule was before the league changed it in the middle of the Houston playoff game.

McDermott I bet wont play him. He alluded to it previously with how far he needs to go with the mental side with all the missed time. But honestly, he is fast and athletic. Better that washed Tre.

Normally I'd agree, but the defense wasn't the problem today.

 

They forced a fumble, got 4 sacks, stopped the run for only the 2nd time all year, had to keep coming onto the field after turnovers, and only allowed 23 points. 

 

Now they still gave up some big plays & let Diggs crap all over them, but otherwise they did enough to win the game. 

 

The offense wasn't in rthym & Josh was in his own head. The penalties absolutely killed us too. Playing clean, not taking sacks & not turning the ball over is how we've been successful despite lacking a lot of talent, but tonight we didn't do any of that.

He's played big boy football in SEC...elite speed...other teams can start rookies and they show.  Why not us.

Oh I agree 100%. Mcd and this staff seem to be stubborn a out playing guys. When he's healthy I would throw max right out there. Has to be better than Tre, who sucks ass now.
