(or be decent in)

Just wanted to bring a new discussion to the board. I think Josh would be an insane point guard in the NBA with the ability to create offense on his own. A physical freak in the mold of a pre-injury Derek Rose.

Football I would say defensive end. With a bulkier frame & the same tenacity he shows at QB, I think it’s possible.

Which sport wouldn’t Josh dominate?

I love hearing players on podcasts answer “Tell us something we don’t know about Josh.  What makes him great?”

Bills player answered “Josh is great at everything.  McD will say ‘Hey Josh- if you hit the goal post, practice is over.’  And Josh will hit the goalpost from 40 yards out.  Josh does all the time.  McD will challenge Josh differently- Josh wins again.

Grear Athletes are great at most sports.  Josh is a super athlete,

Baseball, Basketball, Golf- I bet MMA, Soccer, Rugby, Spartan Races, Luge, Skiing, Skating- I bet Josh would excel at most every sport.

I don't think he'd do well as a horse jockey.

He’d probably be a decent boxer, he’s tall and got the range plus he’s used to getting knocked around by big guys so would hopefully take a decent shot.

Not so sure about soccer, it’s a very tiring sport where you have to be on the move almost constantly for 90 minutes and no way to know if he has that level of stamina as opposed to the explosiveness in shorter bursts he needs in the NFL. He might be a decent goalkeeper though considering his size and throwing ability

You do have to be in good shape for soccer, but you spend most of it just jogging around, staying in your zone. Then quick bursts when the ball comes to you. But with his size he'd be a defender, which requires less running around anyway.

I got into a discussion with a guy in a York pub years ago (It was the year Leeds United first got relegated). My argument was (and is) that the reason that the US doesn't compete in international football/soccer is that it's not the default sport here It's interesting to think about how certain Amerrican athletes would be as footballers. My usual example is Steph Curry. His feet are so quick, and he has elite vision. So does a guy like James Cook. You put a ball in their feet from birth and I think both would have been elite players.

There’s a bit more to it than that, the best players are constantly on the move and particularly the best strikers make numerous runs off the ball which often amount to nothing when the ball isn’t played through for them. As a centre half though he’d probably excel and love the physical battle too

I agree with you, and it works both ways too. If you took some of the guys who played rugby for England and sent them to school in America instead I have no doubt some would be in the NFL.

Same as if LeBron James had decided to box at an early age instead of hoop, he’d probably have been heavyweight champion. Some people are just gifted and won the genetic lottery

Absolutely. They used to show LeBron's high school games on ESPN. It was comical. As an aside, I watch as much football as I watch football. My favorite thing about time zones is that I can wake up on Saturday and Sunday and watch the football before I watch football.

With his arm, size, and intensity I'd say the guy could've been a MLB quality pitcher. But baseball is probably the most difficult sport to project; at a minimum, it would have taken a full-time commitment.

I definitely think he could have been a track and field decathlete.

Jim Brown is considered one of the greatest Lacrosse players of all time.  I suspect Josh with his size, intelligence, coordination, quickness and power would dominate in that sport.
