This takes me back to the 2023 season where every week we said "McDermott will wake them up after THAT". But it never happens. We'll dick around and then win on being far more talented, especially at QB. And then see what happens in the playoffs when you cant win on just talent alone. I couldn't agree more. It all points to January and McDermott seems to run into the same wall over and over again. I love the culture he's built but he has glaring limitations that after all these years, are never going to go away. If his game management was going to better, it would have been already. Maybe this year is the charm. 6 Quote

They were amped up and focused to try to get their first win against one of the best teams in the NFL. We were bored, distracted, and seemed to be looking past them. A tone set by the coaches resting so many starters. But it worked out. 1 Quote

Speaking of Bishop, that got to be a huge confidence boost for his young career. Definitely his first biggest play in NFL. It showed why the Bills wanted him in the 2nd round and even looked to trade up for him, as he disgnosed the slowing develping play correctly. I just hope he gets to ID the faster developing plays faster. He was laying some good hits today too Quote

I’m okay with those guys sitting though, it wasn’t like Ed / Spencer / Matt were healthy scratches. 2 Quote

But it obviously does something to the team mentality that coaches need to be ready for. Edited Sunday at 10:14 PM by DrDawkinstein Quote

Seems like an absurd statement. Too bad you don't think this team is capable of more. I know this is a better team than they showed today. (11 penalties for 55 yards? C'mon). Don't worry they'll get better by seasons end. Go Bills! 😉 Edited Sunday at 10:24 PM by Donuts and Doritos Quote

Bills Bud Posted Sunday at 10:17 PM Posted Sunday at 10:17 PM Let’s be honest, Spencer Rattler made it look easy, and we got another lucky break on that punt. The league is setting us up to win the Super Bowl, and if we don’t then McDermott has to go. 2 4 2 Quote

CirclnWagons Posted Sunday at 10:19 PM Posted Sunday at 10:19 PM Where’s Poyer? You cannot tell me he’s not better than what’s back there right now. If Rattler would’ve been able to make even the simplest of throws, he’d have went for 350+. And that D line??? The defense in the beer line after the end of the 3rd was far and away the best played anywhere in highmark today. Cant be too disappointed at 4-0 but man they looked bad 1 Quote
entropyrules Posted Sunday at 10:22 PM Posted Sunday at 10:22 PM well one saving grace is given the purge of all the normal, good intelligence officers it's unlikely the cigarette man's admonition of never letting the Bills win a super bowl is diminished and maybe even close to zero Quote

Definitely struggled a little on offense and defense. Definitely an inferior opponent we struggled with. Bill's can play better. I expect better. Sure, but at the end of the day 30 points is pretty hard to do in the NFL and the Bills make it look routine. The Saints never led in the entire game. Let's not forget that part regardless of what it looked like. 1 1 Quote

We are lucky we drafted a borderline AP in the sixth round at CB. We are lucky that our biggest rival’s offense has fallen off a cliff for 3 seasons and counting, and they can’t find a competent OT to save their lives We are lucky that our other biggest rival in the AFC has a QB that loses his ability to play like the best QB on the planet in the biggest stage inexplicably. All of this definitive luck will be discounted if we fail to reach our ultimate goal, and it will be said that we didn’t get the luck we needed. But the fact of the matter is that the luck is there. Cray51 Posted Sunday at 10:30 PM Posted Sunday at 10:30 PM Bills: 4-0 30+ points each game Have a chance to go 5-0 for the first time in Allen's career Can have a division win against each AFC East team if they win next week Have a RB who is crushing it Top QB in the league No major injuries right now Rookie class that is continuing to develop (Walker/Hawes/Strong stand out) Lots of positives so far, just need to have the train continue to chug along. 3 1 1 Quote
