It typical BBFS, I fully expect the Bills will end up as the 1 seed.   And still get the Ravens in the Divisional round, and the Chiefs in the AFCCG.   Q we

Epenesa is apparently the new TBD whipping boy?    The notion that Landon Jackson, who by all accounts looked bad during camp and preseason and hasn’t dressed for any of the first 3 games, can step in and be better than Epenesa is ridiculous.   I think too many people place hope and misguided expectations above reality.

It’s a bit like folks thinking Hairston, who hasn’t even taken a practice snap since late July, can come off IR and immediately be better than Tre (or even Strong).  It just isn’t going to happen, folks. He may be better one day, but frankly I’d be shocked if it’s this season.

Similar, again, to the talk back in July of Davis being as good as Cook.  Hence, we can trade our best offensive weapon not named Allen.   It’s just hope and misguided expectations of players being plug and play pieces. And completely ignores the reality of the world, the team, and the sport they’re playing.

I hope Jackson and Hairston are all pro, long term Bills.  But it should not be the expectation that they’re going to beat out current starters any time soon.

and BTW… WTF with Oliver!  3 games because someone stepped on his foot.

Epenesa is arguably the worst player on the 53.

It is. It's been little over 3 years now. Doc said if it doesn't get better in the first year, it never will so here I am. Feet and calf issues. Most the time others wouldn't  notice, but I feel it to some capacity 100% of the day.

hang in there! Must not be the most pleasant thing.

Ed had ankle injury last year, and missed 3 games.  High Ankle Sprains take several weeks to heel properly, let alone, to get back into performance shape

I agree with most of your post.  Hoecht and Larry O are going to start practicing next week.  We will need to find a roster spot, for those two most welcome additions!

IMO Landon Jackson gets a 2 game tryout.  If he fairs well, Espeneza gets traded.  This frees up one roster spot, and we get cap relief.

I’ve heard that the game is starting to slow down for Landon, and he’s been playing better.  McD said 2 weeks ago that Landon was close to earning a Jersey.

There might only be 1 roster spot available between Landon and Salomon IMO

Big Boys that have have been working hard still eat big boy meals even when they stop working out due to injury.  Need to expect some slow down and recovery over another 3 weeks due to weight gain and inactivity.   Big Ed may have added 10-20 unwanted friends.

I’ve always wondered who decided if injured players play. Is it the coach, the players or the medical staff?

Medical staff with the players for the most part.

Remember jairus byrd? Medically he was cleared to play but complained of pain therefore forced a trade and left. He never fully recovered from his foot injuries though.

No he’s #50.  #53, 52 and 51 are our safeties.

I know it's hyperbole but I always remember braylon Spector being a comparison. Everything ranted and raved in training camp among other things about he has to be better than the other options and he wasn't.

Epenesa would be a starting rotation DE anywhere in the NFL.

Unpopular take: voluminous tailgate beer consumption is actually a rookie move. You'll only be a nuisance to yourself and others nearby in the stadium with how many bathroom trips you take during the game.

It was especially essential against the Dolphins that the Bills were on offense to start the 3rd quarter, given how many fans were still away from their seats when the 2nd half began.

Sucks to spend ANY time in a Highmark tunnel bathroom queue while the game is actively underway, but beer is so expansive. (I suggest liquor or other means in order to better focus on the in-game experience.)

Not sure if I ever agreed with a post more! I was nodding my head in agreement with each and every line. Yes to everything!

Byrd was the word!!!!

Dude was awesome his first 4 years, his fifth and final season wasn’t too bad either.

Crazy the INTs his rookie season for only starting 11 games.

Speaking of Saints and Bills, they got Greer too. Always liked his game also.

Morning! Thinking about the practice squad call ups today … If the bills elevate Keonta Jenkins /Zion Louge it will be their third and final elevations for the season.

A) Do you think the bills would keep these players on the practice squad (potentially with zero elevations left) to keep them in the building potentially for next year, or would they be cut after they run out of elevations to join another teams practice squad?

B) Do you think we see LB Ciarlo, or DT Jordan Philips as the callups for this week instead?
