Big Turk Posted September 18 Posted September 18 (edited) For all the posters who think Hodgins is somehow the "guy who got away", just like Duke Williams, Robert Foster and a multitude of other WR's who just weren't good enough over the years...he is back with the Steelers for everyone to fawn over... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/steelers-set-sign-6-foot-193454021.html Edited September 18 by Big Turk 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Did he get away, no I wouldn't say that but for a 6th round pick, he's in the 5th or 6th year of his career. He's hanging on but he's sticking around in the league. Good for him, hopefully he can continue to make a living off of it for a couple more years. 2 Quote
Ya Digg? Posted September 18 Posted September 18 It's really quite embarrassing how many pages that thread got to with the amount of people calling him the next superstar because the guy scored like 5 touchdowns and averaged 40 yards a game 1 Quote

When Uncle Rico throws the pigskin over the mountains, who do you think is going to catch it? That's right. Duke. All day. 1 Quote
Augie Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Oh boy, and my hopes for the Bills were so high for this season. Quote

Shakir is a 5th round pick that just got a $60 million dollar extension. Just saying. Quote
Walking Tall Posted September 18 Posted September 18 (edited) There has to be close to nearly 250-275 wide receivers on active and practice rosters in the NFL. That’s a LOT when you think about it. Edited September 18 by Walking Tall Quote
HOUSE Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Brian Daboll fudged this guy all up. I am surprised he is playing anywhere .. Quote

Sure it is and that’s great for Shakir but I would venture the number of WRs drafted in the late rounds to get massive 2nd contracts are small. Hodgins has already passed the typical NFL career average in general and that’s for a 6th round pick. Quote
WotAGuy Posted September 18 Posted September 18 This is nothing. Hell, I just made it past 8 years with my second wife and I was an UDFA. 1 Quote

Charles Romes Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Never realized he left. Just assumed he changed his name to Tyrell Shavers. Quote
MJS Posted September 18 Posted September 18 I remember the melting down of Bills fans when he left and had a few decent games for the talentless Giants. Oh the weeping and gnashing of teeth! And then he did nothing ever again. Quote
Chris from Rochester Posted September 18 Posted September 18 I was never big on Hodgins. Now Da'Rick Rogers on the other hand.... LOL 1 Quote
