Week 2, Bills v. Jest, GAME BALLS!

Josh and Cook definitely get their automatic game balls, and while I toyed with revoking Shakir's, his one catch went for a first down.  Not his fault they didn't need him at all.

 

Elijah Moore - Welcome back to the Meadowlands Elijah!  That end around for the TD probably felt real good.  

The OL - The big uglies opened up holes for James Cook and basically kept Josh clean except for one sack.

 

Joey Bosa - Two forced fumbles and a hit that knocked Fields out the game.  Sure he lost contain on the big scramble by Fields, but as someone else said in the GDT, I'll take the constant pressure on the opposing QB over the occasional big scramble.  First time we've gotten consistent pressure on the QB since before Von blew out his knee.

Zion "Donal" Logue - Made the most of his limited snaps, with a sack and a batted ball.

The entire secondary - The Bills much maligned secondary had a day today, holding the Jets to 10 points.

I was gonna say Cook and Bosa. But maybe the secondary as well. Or at least who was covering Wilson for most of the game, which is likely Benford.

Cook and Bosa for sure. Moore had the big catch and the TD...he's got one. I don't know if Bishop gets one...but he was good today. Maybe instead of a ball he gets an extra PB&J on the ride home. 

 

I'm also taking the entire defense out for ice cream. Steak dinner for the OL.

The Young Defensive Tackles. Sanders had the initial pressure that Logue cleaned up and they clogged the middle of the run game

WTF: Brady 3rd and 4 deep in NYJ and call a straight ahead run play.

 

Overall, got a road dub against a division opponent while having some key guys out with injuries.  Wasn’t a sexy game but fundamentally sound.
