Alabama product who was drafted by Washington in 2022. He’s a big lad at 6-foot-4, 310 pounds, and he was comped to Daquan Jones in Lance Zierlein’s draft profile.

Im all for trying anything here.  Deone and Sanders need reps, but I’d love to have another vet DT available to be active on gamedays just in case.  
 

Bills could call up Logue, Phillips or Mathis until Ogunjobi comes back. 
 

That said.. from the film breakdowns, doesn’t sound like DL was the issue against the Ravens.

I always thought he was overdrafted. He was more an early day 3 guy to me than day 2. I thought he was a bit of a reach. And you are right he has been a terrible pro.

Young busts are good PS additions to see if they are redeemable in some way.

I’ve said this for awhile, it wouldn’t surprise me if Jones plays half a season , Ogunjobi comes back , and Jones  gets put on IR. Phillips gets called up and your rotation is Phillips, Oliver, Ogunjobi , and the two rookies

Like many others, I was concerned that when Buffalo added defensive tackle help in the off-season, the additions all seemed to fit 3 tech DT better than 1 tech, even 330 lb Deone Walker and even Jordan Phillips, in spite of the shortcomings of Daquan Jones last season.  If the Bills are deciding to address nose tackle just now, there is no way they are going to find much more than table scraps.  The best the Bills can hope for is that their coaching can tap some upside in Mathis that has thus far not shown.
