I'm thinking that this is going to be a Kincaid game.....the Jets may have to give Coleman and Palmer a little more attention than they thought they'd need to after their performances last week, hopefully opening things up for Kincaid, Knox, etc.

You know who had a big game vs the Jets last year? Ray Davis. RBs might be a big factor. Davis ran right at an over aggressive Dline. They were bringing heat to stop Allen but Davis was hitting holes fast and making them pay. I don't think this game plays out the same way, but the Jets defense does have trouble with gap integrity when they don't know what's coming next. I expect Allen to spread the ball around and to change the call at the line often. The Jets have a good defense, but they do get caught when they try to play aggressive. It's a cat and mouse game and Josh is learning that it's much more fun being the cat.

Davis needs to start running north and south again if he wants to get on the field. The few touches he had against the Ravens were ass. Had a bit of the happy feet like James had early in his career. He’s young he’ll learn.

Agree. Davis is a north south runner that does his best work when hitting the whole without hesitation. He's also bigger and stronger than Cook....maybe faster too. Cook is very good at using his blockers and then making defenders miss but he's had a lot of success up the middle too. I think at this stage Cook is a more complete back. I think Davis can become a really good back. He doesn't seem to get many opportunities though. Hard to do when Cook has become the hot hand, and the coaches love going with who's hot.

McBeane built this team to beat KC, which it can't do, at the expense of being tissue paper against power teams like Baltimore. A lose-lose proposition, at least so far. The only redeeming quality I can see is that they play with heart and get turnovers, as in the Ravens game. Otherwise, the best they can do is serve as a speed bump so Allen has at least a fighting chance of scoring more points than they give up, again as in the Ravens game.

It’s really irritating to read fans’ know-it-all posts who actually know nothing.

Anyone with a name that sounds like the last syllable of Dolphin can be irritating...

Why the LB? Benching Bernard already?

I suspect the bills are anticipating playing more 3 LB sets this week with Dorian Williams & having an extra LB active to help the special teams load (if needed).

We aren't entering a game with just 4 LBs ----regardless of defensive gameplan.

I'd love to be wrong, but I have zero faith in Ray Davis this season.

I cannot believe he decided to drop mass this off-season. The whole reason he was brought in was to be the heavy to James Cook's finesse. I was in shock listening to him say "I cut weight bc last year I was just being used for tough yardage and I want to be more of a complete back".

It doesn't shock me at all that he only had one carry last week and the team seems to be completely focusing on just Cook and Johnson.

Idk why, but this game has me a little nervous. This is their Super Bowl and I know they’re coming out swinging tomorrow. And Fields is the type of QB that is successful against McDermott’s defense. QBs we never play almost always steal a game on them. Gotta attack Fields early on. Don’t give him any confidence early on…

The only other time Fields has faced the Bills he threw for like 120 yards. Not saying you can’t be nervous, but I think people are overreacting to how close their game was last week.

But to be fair is it fun to read the posts of fans who know nothing but actually are know it alls?

Anyway

Tomorrow needs to be a get right game. Yes, we won but it wasn't clean, pretty, nor smart. Dawkins penalty late, missed assignments, bad routes, focus... I want to see an organized routing of the Jets. Even if the score is only by 10 pts.

I really don’t know the Jets’ roster. Are these players of any consequence?

Bonus points if you can phonetically spell the RB’s last name.

Reynolds is really their only WR of note after Wilson. Means more attention can be paid to Wilson so that’s good. Michael Carter probably plays but he’s average to above average starter.

New coaches so last year doesn’t mean much. They will blitz (5th highest % week 1) and play man so I agree they’ll be aggressive. I would just throw to whoever sauce is not guarding. Preferably whoever Stephen’s is covering. Sneaky game for 11 personnel though if they wanna leave Michael Carter out there against 12 we should be happy to mash them.

Tough to use that data because it was with a different team/coach and it was like 0 deg at kickoff.

“we’re in a moment of history right now. Embrace it.”

If you haven’t seen this, great clip about Ravens game, but a good reminder to fans. I try to soak up the excitement of Allen because he isn’t immortal.

I’m not shocked he dropped weight. He wants to get paid in a couple years. Not going to get that much interest as a one trick role player.

He’s the same age as James Cook😀
