Put him on the Bills and he’s good but not as good as he is on the ravens. Or, take Henry off the Ravens, and Lamar would look average at best. 2 Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I mean - thank you Alexander for tripping Coleman on his way to a quick score because I didn’t want to see Lamar get the football back. They are both elite. 2 1 1 Quote

T.E. Posted September 8 Posted September 8 He's a great player, but there's not a single GM in this league, including his own, who'd take him over Allen. 1 4 Quote

Lamar might be a good player, but when the chips are down, he always fails in the clutch. The media always coddles Lamar, but if you have eyes you can easily see who is the better player, who is the better QB, who is the MVP..........and that is Josh Freakin' Allen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lamar is ELITE, but Josh is the MVP. 1 Quote
Fetou Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Just now, Big Turk said: That may be true but Lamar has the most 4th quarter losses up double digits than any QB since he has been in the league (might even be the most in NFL history). A LOT of that IS on him. Many of those games he has had chances to make plays to end the game and he has not. A lot of it isn't. The Ravens have an uncanny problem with blowing games that seems to be contagious across the squad. 1 Quote

That's more on the whole team and especially the coaches. Sure he has a share of that...but typically when teams are up double digits in the 4th quarter they move to a more run based offense. And especially the Ravens who are run first typically. Quote
BillsFooteball Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Lamar is great but Allen is better and I believe it’s another tier. I know critical mistake but once again Lamar wasn’t the best player on his own offense. Henry was unstoppable even when bills sell it out to stop him they struggled. Lamar had wipe open WRs and his one in tight coverage was more wow Dhop making the catch. Allen does it all Quote
RobbRiddick Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Lamar is amazing but I still maintain if you asked every defensive coordinator which offensive player for the Ravens keeps them up at night figuring how to stop, at least 27 of them would say Henry. Henry is not just a great RB, he's terrifying. Allen is the only Bills offensive player stopping defensive coordinators from getting sleep Quote

Alphadawg7 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Lamar was incredible tonight. Allen is IMHO better, but let’s not pretend Lamar doesn’t have an argument for himself either. But - Lamar (not tonight) has played below his standards in multiple playoff losses where Allen is the best ever in several playoff passing categories. So Allen earned his edge over Lamar, but tonight had nothing to do with it, Lamar was excellent. Quote
Buffalo ill Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I get annoyed with apes who act like Allen and Jackson face off in the octagon or something. Both are amazing. Go Bills 2 1 1 Quote

BeastMaster Posted September 8 Posted September 8 To those that keep saying how great LJ is...why has he made such a big leap since Henry? Let's see how he fares after that guy is done because I tend to believe Henry makes it all work, and that Lamar isn't close to the guy people claim he is without Derrick Henry 2 2 1 Quote

The Raven's O is so multidimensional. They can run with Henry, run with Lamar, and throw. You can't go big and crowd the box because of Lamar. You can't not crowd the box because of Henry. A DC has zero good options. Cook is a good back but he's not in Henry's league and doesn't create the kind of scheme and defensive play-calling problems that the Lamar-Henry duo causes. Quote

Let's not forget this isn't the first time that Jackson lost to Allen when leading by 15+. They had a 20-3 lead on the Bills with 13 seconds left before the half and Allen got a TD to make it 20-10 at the half and then the Ravens never scored again, losing 23-20. Sorry, but when you have it happen this many times, it's a pattern and to try and say the QB is absconded of blame is absurd. Edited September 8 by Big Turk 1 Quote

Jackson didn't lose to Allen. He lost to the Buffalo Bills. As a matter of fact, HE didn't lose, the Baltimore Ravens did. Wins/Losses are not a QB stat and those two were never on the field at the same time going head to head. 1 Quote

dma0034 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Allen and Lamar have been the best 2 QBs the last 2 years. Quote
DC Greg Posted September 8 Posted September 8 They’re both phenomenal. I’ll take Josh over any QB ever. Period. 1 Quote
