nuklz2594 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Have Josh call the plays. We can run the "k-gun" style offensive 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I like this breakdown because it shows two plays on the final drive where Allen beat Baltimore with his mechanics and then with his brain. It's a perfect snapshot of how far he's come as a player. 3 Quote

Yes, his elevated total TD numbers are a bit misleading because so many of them are run-ins from the one-yard line. It would be much more impressive if he was throwing 50 touchdowns per year which, as talented as he is, he might be able to do if he had the receivers and a proper offensive scheme and an offensive coordinator who knew how to best utilize his talents. 1 Quote

I was not knocking JA - the guy is certainly trending towards 1st ballot HOF status. I was just saying the scoring runs last night were not the stuff of highlight reels. 1 Quote

Bob in STL Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago They really are the Buffalo Allen's. Can Beane find a way to get a legitimate #1 WR on this team? 1 2 Quote
Mikie2times Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) It's usually hyperbole nowadays for these talking heads to try and force all these GOAT conversations. But the reality is, with Josh, he wins in ways that nobody else has before. That conversation doesn't need to be about if he's the best. It's just about what he brings as an individual player to the offense. Nobody has ever won like this or made these types of plays as consistently as him. Favre, Elway, Vick, Fran, Mahomes all those guys could do it, but not by air or land, and if so, not as consistently and as inconceivably consistent. He is the GOAT playmaker at QB and from my view fairly undisputed. Edited 6 hours ago by Mikie2times 2 2 Quote
