stlbills13 Posted Monday at 12:33 PM Posted Monday at 12:33 PM That was 52 minutes of pathetic defense against a unicorn elite offense but somehow they got it done. We will be better the next time we play them. 1 Quote
PaattMaann Posted Monday at 12:34 PM Posted Monday at 12:34 PM I left after the Josh Allen sack with about 8 minutes left. No regrets. What a win!!! 1 Quote

I was surprised to notice Solomon in on the first series. Seems he played a lot this game. I'll be interest to see the snap counts. Sanders stood out to me on a few plays; Walker did not. I hope this is the Ed Oliver we see all season--mostly unstoppable. All in all, I'm encouraged with the young guys--trial by fire. We will need them come February... Lol....Bosa did once and then made some really good plays....regardless there are pretty much no Edge players Lamar hasn't fooled...... 1 1 Quote

If you include his 211 postseason touches and one fumble, he is 0.797%. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HenrDe00.htm Wow, that was really close. I said carries, but still I get it. I don't hold a fumble on a pass catch against a running back like I do on a run. A RB runs with the ball. They're not expected to be as graceful at catching than running with the ball. F'n ty Johnson. I told a friend a great parlay to make. He put $5 on it and had all the legs but that one. Henry, Johnson, Jackson, Allen, Coleman: TD's, Allen +25 yards, Jackson +30 yards: rushing, Knox 25+ catching. Would have made like $800. Quote

What is the McDermott defensive philosophy according to you, and then tell me the defensive philosophy of last night's game. And explain to me how the defense hasn't adjusted, please. Do you even know what you are watching, or are you just parroting things you are hearing? The Bills had a COMPLETELY different style of defense than they have in the past yesterday. Tons of man coverage and blitzing. Dorian Williams played a ton in base defensive packages with three linebackers. And what? You going to argue they were good? Yes I know they played some man with three lb's on the field. We have a strong safety at MLB. Sean. Macdermots. Defense. Sucks. I think he is a good head coach overall in everything else. But I think he needs to bring in a different set of eyes to run the D. The players on the roster are built to run his D. So he can switch it up a little during a game, they are not built for that. Too small, don't play great in man coverage. It's only 1 game so we can hope the young dt's they brought in help eventually. Anybody hear Bernards name called last night? 1 Quote
Success Posted Monday at 12:50 PM Posted Monday at 12:50 PM Some were wondering why we kept Coddrington on the roster. He's really one of the more exciting returners we've had over the years. That was a big play to start the game yesterday. 2 2 Quote
Bob in STL Posted Monday at 12:51 PM Posted Monday at 12:51 PM I was at the Dolphins 1980 tear down the goalposts game, and the Lawyer Malloy game, and the Ditka game, and other classics that were home openers. Last night was my favorite home opener, especially knowing it is the last one at Rich/Ralph/Highmark. That was amazing. 2 1 3 2 Quote

PaoloBillsFanFromItaly Posted Monday at 01:02 PM Posted Monday at 01:02 PM Happy for the win. Still a lot of crappiness on D, especially the safeties. Quote
UKBillFan Posted Monday at 01:03 PM Posted Monday at 01:03 PM I'm planning to re-watch the game this afternoon. To save a lot of stress I may just skip to Henry's fumble. 2 Quote
Jerboski Posted Monday at 01:04 PM Posted Monday at 01:04 PM Bosa and Oliver played really well, the rest of the defense, specifically the safeties, yuck Quote
Bruffalo Posted Monday at 01:06 PM Posted Monday at 01:06 PM Lost in the sauce is that amazing 30 second drive to get the field goal before the end of the half. As long as the Bills have Allen they're in every game. This just really solidifies it. 2 1 1 Quote

Tackling Henry 20 yards downfield when he has a head steam is a challenge for any safety in the league. The issue was that our D line and LB's were often being abused at the point of attack. 1 Quote

CirclnWagons Posted Monday at 01:10 PM Posted Monday at 01:10 PM Offense looked in mid season form. Decent pass rush and ok job keeping Lamar hemmed in most of the night. Run fits were awful and in their defense, it’s tough trying to tackle a small truck in shoulder pads. We won’t see a better run game. Thought Oliver looked like the best player on either defense and even though Bosa didn’t help much in run defense, it’s nice to have a legit pass rush on the other side of groot. Imagine this team with safeties that weren’t lost the majority of the ballgame and could be scary down the road. I’d take Po and Hyde in their 50s over what’s back there right now Quote

boater Posted Monday at 01:12 PM Posted Monday at 01:12 PM I did a faux pas during the game. I got fed up with it and blurted out "Doesn't Chris Collingsworth ever shut up!" But the way the sound went in the room, all that people heard was me yell "Shut up!" 1 Quote
