We are basically doing him a favor letting him hang out with his friends and use our great training facilities while he recovers. I don't have a problem with that but even if one of our WRs gets injured I wouldn't hold my breath on Davis in action until after the bye week at the earliest. If that is true it will take longer. But he isn't here just to sit on the PS and rehab IMO. At some point he is here to be on the roster. 1 2 1 Quote

I think the Bills are satisfied with the players and their roles in the WR group right now, barring some collapse or severe underperformance on someone’s part. That said, Davis is a better option than what they had on the practice squad. 1 Quote

I think Shavers is mainly there to play teams. So maybe he is a tad safer. 2 Quote

Sure, if Motley Crue and Guns n' Roses were the roadies setting up the stage and performing soundcheck to an empty house for Ghost and Greta Van Fleet and only coming in individually if a member of their bands had to leave the tour... All this fuss about bringing back Tre White, Gabe Davis, Jordan Poyer, Jordan Phillips, and Dane Jackson in the same year and only one of them is actually on the active roster. Pretty good for a PS guy. i haven’t read through the thread yet- but those crying and whining about this signing (and I’m sure there will be many) need reevaluate their views on the team I’m not a big Gabe Davis fan, but as a ps player (or WR6 even) he’s a nice addition. He can block and make plays downfield. Quote
White Linen Posted Tuesday at 11:34 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:34 PM Shenault and Hamler must have really been bad. I don't like signing Davis and I struggle to understand how anyone could want him to ever be active. Quote

I agree once he’s rehabed he’s gonna play but that doesn’t mean it’s gonna be here per se. 1 Quote

TheWeatherMan Posted Tuesday at 11:41 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:41 PM Might just be the best practice squad WR in the NFL. Let’s just hope he doesn’t see any meaningful minutes, he’s got feet for hands. Quote
3rdand12 Posted Tuesday at 11:41 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:41 PM Position wise he is an outside Receiver. How'd he pass the medical ? He had made some sweet play in his early days. Those toe taps Hope he gets fully healthy. So who is he backing up ? And can Brady adjust at that point ? Quote

Josh is worse when Gabe is on the field. This is proven. If having a player on the field makes your QB worse, he is not a player worth having. 1 Quote

Yes- he will likely throw more interceptions that he did last year. That’s likely due to the extremely low number he threw last season. I don’t think Gabe Davis will be THE reason. But we’ll have to see how well Moore does with Josh in a couple actual games. He’s the only real separator we have right now. I’d be all about Gabe taking Samuels spot since Gabe is an actual WR, even if he’s not the most sure handed Quote
