Doc Brown Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Surprised they couldn't find a trade partner for him. Just don't go to KC or Baltimore please. Quote
ganesh Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Considering that the Pats will owe all the money to him, he could come here and play for Vet minimum salary and be a surprise last minute entrant. 3 2 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) If the Bills played more Big Nickel looks he would be perfect addition to the group of safeties they have now. Edited 1 hour ago by Ethan in Cleveland Quote
GunnerBill Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He isn't really a safety. He is a hybrid. Decent run player, good instincts, liability in coverage. 1 Quote

If you subscribe to PFF. 82.3 overall PFF grade. 7th of 117 safeties. Pass coverage grade was 8th at 81.7. Run defense was 35th at 74.4. Edited 1 hour ago by Doc Brown 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Oh man I would love to add him, especially since it would be almost free. Cut Codrington and use Peppers as our kick and punt returner. He wouldn't start on our defense but we could definitely design packages to use his skillset. A lot of the player and coaching additions we made on defense this offseason were about adding variety and unpredictability. Peppers fits that philosophy to a tee. 4 1 Quote
ngbills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Missed much of the season in 3 of the last 4. Seems like a perfect fit. Get it done. 3 Quote

I'm dead inside and don't deserve good things, but god I would love for us to pick him up. 2 1 1 Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Easy call, much better than Hamlin. The question is does Hamlin have an unbreakable career contract? Edited 31 minutes ago by D. L. Hot-Flamethrower 1 1 1 Quote
Low Positive Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The Pats have released a lot of good players. But a team with a new coach who is trying to change a culture will do that. 1 Quote

My guess is they asked him to take a paycut and he declined, so with his injury history and presumably a new defensive scheme they are letting him go. But we could have him for the vet minimum because of offset language in his contract so there's no risk to us. And he has the exact type of skillset you use as a chess piece with very specific packages. I don't see any kind of downside here. I doubt any team is offering him a starting job so give him our best pitch for the role he'll play on a Super Bowl contending team. 2 Quote
L Ron Burgundy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He's better than what we have. I'm hoping we sign him. 1 Quote
