gonzo1105 Posted Wednesday at 01:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:42 PM Hes probably in the building like Hyde last year but with the idea he can play if absolutely necessary 1 2 Quote

This lets him stay in shape and let him come back to a place he knows Quote

Mat68 Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM Hold on. He isnt All Pro anymore, but he is an upgrade over Hamlin if schemed a similar way. Hamlin isnt doing anything exotic in coverage. Poyer is more physical, more instinctive. I think he still has more juice than Hamlin. Now you cant use him like we used to but protect him a bit with scheme and I think he is a solid depth player. 3 Quote

If this was the intention, it would be unprecedented. They just started allowing vets to be on the practice squad a few years ago. Also they pretty much doubled the amount of players allowed. Years ago they’d just be out of the league Edited Wednesday at 01:45 PM by Not at the table Karlos 2 1 Quote
MPL Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM This is fine. He's here to be a mentor for Cole. Nothing to be alarmed about whatsoever. Quote
oldmanfan Posted Wednesday at 01:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:44 PM Sit with Bishop in each practice and film session. 1 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted Wednesday at 01:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:44 PM He is probably the emergency if Bishop doesn't figure it out. We can't have Hamlin as the long term solution if Bishop sucks. 2 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted Wednesday at 01:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:44 PM Can it really be this damn difficult to play in the secondary in McDs defense? Quote

bmur66 Posted Wednesday at 01:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:45 PM (edited) One day contract to retire as a Bill I hope. Maybe Coleman will cheap shot him. Edited Wednesday at 01:46 PM by bmur66 Quote
DapperCam Posted Wednesday at 01:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:45 PM Sounds like he will be a player coach. Maybe he could play in a “break glass in case of emergency” sense. 1 Quote
BillsfaninChicago Posted Wednesday at 01:46 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:46 PM The fact that it is legitimate to wonder if this is a real or ceremonial retirement contract says something… Quote
