That is exactly my thoughts... or they are gonna go out and get a corner whether its Douglas or Asante Samuel... or they are anticipating that there will be cuts that they will pick someone off waivers that is better...  but to me it certainly is some indication that White and Max wont be long term...  just my own tea leaves misguided or not my initial reaction...

Was just going to post the same.  I take this as a very good sign that McD doesn’t feel like he has to rely on a below average veteran.

Hairston’s original timeline was 3 weeks.

I saw something about Denver being loaded with DBs and will be cutting good ones.

I think it shows that White won't be put on IR to Return and likely won't miss more than a week or two, at most.

 

They roll with Dorian Strong and Ja'Marcus Ingram and call up Dane Jackson from the PS for a week or two, until Tre returns. If needed at all.

I think we pick up another corner today. Dorian Strong can't be trusted yet. He looked lost this preseason.

With their #2 CB in waiting not playing any time soon, and the (scary as it is) replacement, White, injured, it is clear how bad Jackson played in camp and pre-season.  And that last year in Carolina was not an aberration. (I tried to convince myself he looked that bad, like almost everyone did, on what was the worst defense in the NFL.

 

Jackson was an excellent player for the Bills to have for years, coming up big in relief, sometimes with little notice, time and time again.  For me, it was usually a pleasant surprise whenever he did this, though he did it often.

 

So hopefully he hooks up with another team, or makes a great move to the next step in life.

Then Beane needs to make a trade or sign a vet. We aren’t getting a decent young CB off the waiver wire at 30.
