Was looking today out of curiosity and a couple of things stood out to me.

Deone Walker, youngest (21) and biggest dude on the team.

Our 2024 Rookie class is as young as our 2025 class with Bishop and Coleman being only 22, as is Hairston and Sanders.

Christian Benford is only 24! Wow.

Oliver is only 27.

Bills Core:

OFF:

Allen - 29

Cook - 25

Shakir - 25

Palmer - 25

Kincaid - 25

Dawkins - 31

Brown - 27

DEF:

Rousseau - 25

Oliver - 27

Sanders - 22

Bernard - 26

Benford - 24

Hairston - 22

Bishop - 22

If we can somehow keep this band together, we have a long window ahead of us.

The biggest risks I see are offensive line continuity in terms of being able to pay everyone, but hopefully the reserves can be mostly plug and play.

We can't keep everyone of course, but if a few of the 2024 and 2025 draft picks can really excel, this Bills team will be better than ever.

Go Bills.

Imagine how much younger the team would be if we still had Tremaine.

Just a Couple more years for him to learn the system and he would dominate in 2027

TBD's core poster's ages 78, 69, 59, 71, 46, etc..  if we can keep this band together, we have a short window to finally see a Superbowl victory!!

Who's with me??!! 🤩

I think we can conquer them using our wisdom.

Who am I kidding? This crowd? Wisdom? Sometimes I crack myself up!  🤣

I've got a few prime years left in me, but my performance is probably going to start tailing off in a couple years.

There has already been talk of you slowing down a bit, but you remain one step ahead of the Turk!

No question, I'm just adjusting my game to hide my decline as best I can!

My window could be a decade, but the off season and training camp are too tough.

I know I'm likely in the minority, but Allen hitting 30 yrs old makes me nervous. Yes I realize guys can play well into their late 30s, but one of Allen's greatest threats is his running and physical abilities (qb sneaks etc) and yet this team has no true number 1 receiver. Hopefully keon is that guy

John elway had mobility well into his 30s ...  So did Steve Young

Modern technology and recovery is also a lot better than it was 15 20 30 40 years ago...  Meaning Josh Allen taking care of his body can have him playing good for a long time

Which is why idk why Josh was such in a hurry to shed the weight that he did, he was built like a tank and let tom Brady’s body shaming words get to him. But having said that I think Josh is not going to be as physical as he ages so he can play a long time.

But think about this.   If we kept Edmunds the average age of the team would go down by 3 years.  We all know he is only 14.

Don’t exaggerate… you lose all credibility.

Tremaine turned 15 on May 2nd.

As for me, I’d best be suited for the Micah Hyde ceremonial roster spot.

Not to mention that Quarterbacks are much better protected by the rules now, they took a beating back in that era; just ask Jim Kelly and his multiple surgeries about it.

This isn't really addressing Septide's point which is that Josh's physical style of play likely has a shelf life. Elway and Young weren't exactly bowling guys over.

The better comparison is Cam Newton who hit a wall in his 30s and couldn't dominate the same way anymore. Josh is more talented than Newton as a passer and overall player so there should be lots of confidence he can change his game over time with considerable effectiveness, but he likely does have to change. Septide's related point about our receiving talent is on point as presumably one part of Josh running less is him needing to make more plays in the pocket; we could also lean more into our RBs. Anyway, I share the same concern about the Superman timeline. We maybe only have a year or two left of this version of Josh.
