Hard Knocks Episode 2: The Thread

Never watched Hard Knocks before, but of course I am watching it as a Bills fan. I won't say that I'm disappointed in anything Bills related, as I remember a time when I would get excited if they even showed a Bills hat in an NFL apparel commercial (because we were so far off the radar), but I have to say that the Bills own media team puts out better videos than these first two episodes of HK (Beyond the Red and Blue, or whatever). Of course, our media team knows the team better and aren't aiming at a national audience, but they just do a great job, imo. Hope HK picks up for the remaining episodes.

 

Wish they'd show even more meetings, guys hanging out at camp (after practice), more position battles, that type of stuff rather than the pre-packaged stories.

Hopefully the producers got enough of it in one episode. Its history, the team was shell shocked from it.

pretty sad episode; hard knocks doesn't seem to work for fans who already know all the back stories; kind of ho hum. 

 

I mean, Ray Davis as a kicker is not very interesting, in general

Show us more of the individual position meetings.   Show us pregame in the locker room before the preseason game. That's where the juice is. A rather boring episode.

Not real NFL fans.  I specifically asked some friends that question.  If you love football and have watched HK before, you love all of these shows.

 

What’s amusing to me is how many guys on this board (not you) feel the need to come to this thread to say how much they don’t enjoy the show, and the concerns about Pegula’s “involvement” are hilarious.  Some of the posters on here really just don’t get it.  At all.

I guess I am in the minority here.

 

I enjoyed Episode 2 more than Episode 1.

 

That said, I have one complaint thus far:

There's no drama at all.  And they missed the bit where Josh Allen started talking to his receivers about quantum physics.

Lots of complaining here.   This program is supposed to reporting the softer side of the sport.  The Bills story is teamwork, family, strong sense of community, pride, the underdog, never give up, etc.  That is what we are getting. 

 

Just remember the days when the Bills were irrelevant, had no star players, and were barely on any the NFL national coverage.   

 

You get one life.  Time tics away.   I am enjoying this.

I've never watched Hard Knocks before, but these 2 episodes are just Bills Hype videos on Valium.

My friends wife had it at 40 (in remission after Mohs surgery).

 

I am very fair skinned so I always wear a crap ton of sun block.

KJ Hammer has been the best part so far. Other than that, the first 2 episodes have been pretty boring.

Admittedly haven't watched hard knocks in years but the bills season seems extremely boring 

 

It all seems to be a lot of fluff, things the bills themselves out out in 3 minute clips on Twitter not hour long highly produced HBO show
