In tennis, they call the ball in realtime with hawkeye. There is no reason for it to take any time at all.

I think the delay was getting it up on the scoreboard. NFL is behind tennis technology

But it doesn’t actually help spot the ball. Just measures after the refs spot with their eyes.

It wouldn't because it just reads where the ref spots the ball.
