On a side note, can someone explain to me what a "hold in" is? I've only ever heard it be called a hold out.

Hold in: the player shows up to practice but doesn’t practice. He watches his teammates work while he rides a stationary bike. This approach avoids the $50K per day fine.

Hold out: the player stays away from all team related activities and is fined $50K per day for each day he misses.

I saw something on TV that suggested there is nothing in the CBA that says a player can avoid a fine by showing up and not practicing.  If the Bills don't fine Cook, it's not because they can't, it's because they're trying to avoid playing hardball and raising the level of tension.

They ask like 10 different ways "how does Cook being out change how you prepare?"

I’m guessing that you haven’t followed the Bills for long.

“Holdin’” was what Reuben Brown excelled at.

There's a reason he was available for $2.5m.

Yea I mean we will have to wait and see how the season goes. Him not making the roster would still be pretty surprising to me. When we signed them I said we would not get much out of him and Josh Palmer.

Keon, Shakir and Kincaid are the key to the passing game this year.

Definitely.  Shakir hopefully gets fully healthy and Coleman/Kincaid need to have a bigger impact.  I'm hoping Palmer can at least be that player in the got to have it 3rd and 4th down situations where teams play man coverage given his sell here was he could create quick separation.

If Palmer can be our Emmanuel Sanders/John Brown, I'll be happy. I think he's absolutely got the talent to fit that WR3 niche.

My opinion is based on what I see, when he's matched up with top guys. I know there's a place for analytics, but there's is just as much of this type of stuff that I disagree with,  that I agree with.

Across the league, Surtain was the consensus top CB, but according to this he's on par with Benford. That's not what I see when I watch the 2. I saw Chase abuse him the last time we met. Surtain in contrast gave him fits. Just one example.

That being said, I have also seen great improvement in Benford year over year, and who knows, maybe this year he's what you say he is, and reaches that Superstar status. He is having his best camp to date, but we won't know at least for a month plus.

I think you’re making things up.

What, three years ago?

Dude.

Chase the last time we met had 4 catches for 41 yards.

I think it might be Chase’s personal best.

Hold out is no reporting to camp, no contact with team.

Hold in is when they show up still but dont participate

Landon Jackson sighting...  Anyone?  Haven't heard a peep...

He's on the bench polishing his dome.

But for realz, Only heard the "hustle" remarks from teammates quotes.

He said something vaguely inaudible to Groot in last night's Hard Knocks...
