So, I’m up early so I decided to start today’s thread.

Question of the day:  which poster will lose their schitt if Kincaid doesn’t return to practice?

there are always players banged up in camp, none of it appears to be very serious, so I approach the injury list as just an abundance of caution

Also, what’s the over/under on pages before people start blaming Beane and the strength staff for the injuries…my initial thought is 1.5 pages

you are too kind, I'm thinking before we hit the bottom of page 1.

We actually have an excellent strength training program, but it’s football.  Players get injured.

Where we are fortuitous is all of these injuries are temporary, and in many cases probably preparatory to keep a little problem little, not a large problem.

E-Man thanks for starting today’s thread.  It’s easy to digest one day at a time.  I’m sure many appreciate it.

Negative numbers are in play (sorry Sooner, but you earned this one :D).

Just curious, what makes our strength training program excellent and how does it compare to other NFL teams? I ask because I don’t know.

It seems like every player that media and fans were talking about stepping it up this year have been doing exactly that.

Let’s just hope Kincaid knee issue does not linger because he was included in that group of people that looked like they were storming out of the gates.

Now we've arrived at the point: no one here knows anything at all about how our training staff operates nor can have any educated opinions on how they perform relative to their peers.

Re: Injuries.. Not sure what to think about our training staff, but our facilities do seem to be elite, based on player reviews and what I’ve heard about them.

I think a lot of what we’ve dealt with may be chalked up to the kind of defense we run and the players we bring in.

Undersized DT’s with undersized LB’s, playing base Nickel.. In the past, this has put a lot of physical strain on the spine of our defense.. not coincidentally where we’ve broken down late season.

On offense, our injuries are Kincaid, Brown and Samuel.   A finesse TE, a physical freak RT with a history of back injuries and a player we brought in knowing his biggest issue is staying healthy.

Sometimes it’s also just personnel.
