How does that make sense? If they've lost Harmon, they'd be in need of a DT now - not 7 weeks from now. And any CB we'd get in a Trade for 11 games with Ogunjobi would be the caliber of player that wouldn't play over Dorian Strong, Dane Jackson, and Ja'Marcus Ingram.

Because if harmon was out for the year (sounds like he isn't) when Ogunjobi returns he is plug and play having spent the last few seasons there.

 

also it sounds like they an abundance of corners and Bennie Bishop Jr. is not going to make the team after their free agent signings/trades.

At worst, it appeared Bishop had a nice future in Pittsburgh. But the Steelers signed Darius Slay and Brandin Echols and traded for Jalen Ramsey this offseason, pushing Bishop to the margins. With multiple players already capable of playing the nickel, Bishop might be expendable. DB coach Teryl Austin recently said Bishop needed to "fight and work to get some splash to get in the picture." It wouldn't be stunning if the Steelers floated him in a trade.

His problem is that he hasn't drafted a truly great player yet, a game changer. That's where the other top GMs in the league have him beat one and all.

 

You mean other than the wrong Josh. But yeah, he hasnt hit that elite guy. Those guys aren't often found where we draft though. Id argue Cook is a great player. Id also argue Shakir is a great player. Especially from where Shakir was drafted. The guy may not be elite but he is a stud. He also built one of the best olines in the league IMO. Not the best but up there top 5 maybe.

You could argue that Spencer Brown is elite, Beane found him.

OLers don't count.  The talking heads haven't anointed Brown a "elite", so he isn't in the minds of most fans.

 

If the Chiefs could have found themselves even a decent LT in recent drafts, they'd probably have 5 Lombardis in a row.

Good to hear, injuries are the worst part of football. Harmon was a really good prospect really was hoping he would fall to where the Bills could trade up a few spots for him. He simply was taken way too high for the Bills to make a trade up and Mad Max wasn't a bad pick at pick 30 in my opinion

The training these guys do doesn't match what was before. Heavy lifting, break your body stuff. 

Instead it's plyo based and quality of life training that lets some of the soft folks through

Yes. As well as the majority of their starters on defense. Interesting. 

Allen is a definite no go per reports.

The Chargers and Denver think they can challenge KC. honestly i don’t see it this year.  Chiefs still gonna win the west but hopefully fall short of the 1 seed.

Curious as to why you think the defense takes steps back? 
 

they were top 10 in a lot of categories whilst the offense was in the low 10’s. Improved offense should allow the defense to improve, no?
