They have nothing on defense. But TE2 is covered. Posters in the "The Bills are wasting Josh Allen's prime" club should take a good, hard look at the Bengals to see how a team actually "wastes" a QB. I don't think that they are committed to building a perennial Super Bowl contender. It seems to me that the Bengals ownership and FO feel that making the Super Bowl once is good enough, so they've built a team that is "exciting" in the regular season but realistically has only a 50-50 chance at best of having anysuccess in the post season -- if they even make the playoffs. Agreed. Their Super Bowl year they caught lightning in a bottle. It looks like that is their method. Keep Burrow/Chase/Higgins. And hope that they get a few breaks along the way. But the lack of serious investment in the OL and defense has cost them. Looking at where they were in their Super Bowl season there is no logical reason why they shouldn't have had at least two more appearances by now IMO. 1 Quote

Yeah - I'm old enough to remember when the media narrative was how "unfair" it was that the Dolphins had so much team speed and they were guaranteed to just run past everyone to greatness 1 Quote
Since1981 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Still debating which is more detached from reality year after year — Cowboys fans or the Dolphins media hype train (which conveniently runs without actual fans). 1 Quote

Burrow is gonna pull a Carson Palmer and just ask out in 2-3 years. For as much as I have had my issues with Beane and at times how he has built the team the Bills aren't putting bad teams around Josh nor are they shooting themselves in the dick with cheap ownership. 1 Quote

I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen at all. Burrow has been sacked an average of 48.3 sacks per 17 games throughout his career. He's also missed 6 and 7 games in two of his five seasons. He averages 2.84 sacks per game, but that number doesn't include QB hits that aren't counted as sacks. He's getting the crap beat out of him ... and the Bengals lone great season was three years ago. The Bengals had a two year window where they were a contender 2021 and 2022. They made it to the Super Bowl and lost a close game in 2021 and made it back to the AFCCG in 2022 and lost a close game. Back to back seasons they haven't made the playoffs and have not been able to put a good offensive line around Burrow and watched their defense degrade into one of the worst in the league. In the Bills worst seasons with Josh they win 11 games and a playoff game victory. If I were a Bengals fan I would be very pissed if they let Burrow slip through their hands because the owner is incompetent and cheap... 2 Quote
