Awesome to see you congratulate and celebrate rather than obsess that he's *only* #3 instead of 1 or 2.

Who is obsessing? Discussing the politics of the ranking is not obsessing. It is just a normal discussion. Or are people not allowed to talk about it?

It's laughable to me that fans get so upset and offended anytime anyone lists a single Quarterback above ours.

At this point it's actually a flex or way to troll ravens fans by saying "I don't care Josh got mvp last year".  Like their whole personal identity revolves around making everyone know Lamar "deserved" mvp.

Not only are they convinced Lamar is the best (once again, don't care), but they talk like Allen should be on a  practice squad.

There is no way Lamar should be ahead of Mahomes or Allen on any rational, non-agenda list......get that weak 💩 outa here!!

Gotta appreciate these days.

I remember when the biggest thing in our fandom was a debate over whether Trent Edwards or JP Losman should start.

Compare the amount of posts on Social Media or other places like Reddit or here celebrating the fact that we have an MVP QB who made the #3 spot on the list to the amount of posts completely focusing on Lamar being a single spot above him.

We've gone from 20+ years of absolutely *dying* for a QB who was simply above average to considering it some kind of slight anytime Josh isn't listed as the #1 QB in the entire NFL. When throughout history, way more often than not - that position is up for debate.

Even a large portion of the discussion after Josh won MVP was less about celebrating and more about arguing with or gloating to Ravens fans.

Having a QB that is consistently in the Top 1, 2, or at worst 3 QB's in the entire league, won MVP honors, was #3 (#2 QB) on the Top 100 List is an f'n dream come true. I'd rather revel in moments like these than feel slighted that our guy isn't THE unanimous #1 QB on every single list. Josh is an Elite QB, Lamar is an Elite QB.

Lamar Jackson is the NFL's sacred cow. Can't have him ranked lower than the MVP, haha.

They voted around Thanksgiving.

at that point, the MVP debate was alive and well.

I agree, although I'm not sure why Lamar supporters think this way. Maybe because he is both black and was undervalued early on, which makes him a double underdog? I don't think it's about merit, since the argument that he's a better QB than other three is pretty thin. Involving "motivated reasoning," as it were. No, something else is going on, especially re Allen. Again, could be race: Allen is the ultimate big white boy, so maybe people feel triggered measuring him against a smaller black man.  The unconscious is a funny thing. Those talking heads are spouting emotion before their brain engages, and then they double down. You can tell their own identity/ego is involved; they might as well put subtitles under their rants: "I AM worth something! I AM big enough down there!" Fear underlies it all, I would say. They relate to Lamar, so if he's not as good as Allen, whom they perceive as the Other, then they're not as good as the Other, either, which is existentially horrifying. If Lamar went on IR for the season right now, he's still get votes from some of these people.

Of course, to me, Allen can do no wrong and walks on water, so I'll get off my high horse now...😕

What is your reasoning for saying that?

Lamar always craps the bed in the Playoffs.....Josh had beaten him twice in the Playoffs, and Mahomes  has as well......they both are better passers than Lamar by far, they can process defenses better, they are more clutch than he is, they are better leaders, they don't sound like complete morons when they talk, etc., etc., etc.

Ok. Understand your position.  But realize people will use similar logic to always put Mahomes above Josh regarding playoffs and clutchness.  0-4 vs chiefs is historic.   While I think it is not correct and I know you do too regarding josh he has had the ball at the end of the last two playoff games needing to score and has gotten 0.  That is what gets remembered.  Josh can process better….i think I agree but Lamar has come a long way and when you look at numbers he is outstanding in terms of td% int%, both above josh. I like Josh better but it is not crazy for people to pick Lamar for something like a top 100.  Also not crazy to pick Josh over Lamar.  Lamar has been bad in the playoffs with turnovers and does not get dinged for it. While Josh had turnover issues in the regular season and is historically good in the playoffs yet people still use that narrative.

Josh Allen wishes he was JP Losman

Would’ve had Allen or Jackson at 1 but I don’t play in the NFL!

Awesome to have #3 on your team at the most important position in football though.
