Just once, ONCE, it would be refreshing to see an insincere thank you thread. One dripping with sarcasm and spite. Is that too much to ask?

Well if we needed a Candidate 😍

You or @BringBackFergy would be just the candidates to start it.  That would be like @Simon starting a thread to thank everyone for being so cooperative!

Well, I certainly will chime in.  This place is great.

Well, it's pretty dull right now in this dead period.  These doldrums seem to get worse every year.

But I'll echo what others have said.  I come here daily, because if there's any Bills news, I know it will be here. I come here daily to see what people are talking about, and sometimes to join in.  I come here daily to find funny little nuggets that people post here.  It is the place for all things Bills.

BBMB was better in only one respect, which was volume of posts. They had more active members, so the discussions often were livelier, and new threads showed up more often.  However, they had more posters because the Bills wouldn't let the moderators ban the bad actors and control the board in other ways, and that meant there were more rogue posters who messed up threads, started arguments, etc. Here, everyone knows that if you don't behave you're gone, and therefore everyone behaves.

The knowledge and the memory of the posters here is fabulous. I must have seen but have no recollection of that drive against the Dolphins with Kelly diving into the end zone as time expired.  How great was that?

So, thanks to SDS and to all those who keep this place running.  I love it.

Drunk text vibes.

in all seriousness, it really is an awesome site and is still in my daily routine, it has been since Todd Collins was a topic (though I don’t remember what the hell happened to my first login). I don’t post much now, but I’m here a few times a day.

A few weeks ago my wife saw me looking at it and said something about how I’ve been TBD’ing for “like 20 years.” She’s not wrong.

If I was drunk It would've been filled with more expletives and been less coherent!

We've actually probably had a few but they likely got deleted.

There was a period of time when some people thought that posting a "f#ck this place, I'm outta' here" farewell rant on a message board had gravity and didn't just make them look like a hilarious quitter.

Had to be an insincere thank you or two in there at some point.

Im starting to.  If the new OC can get everything dialed in we finally have a QB again.  I feel better with Venables doing what he does best in calling plays.   If we can Beat Michigan week 2, that's a huge start.

There's going to be a lot of variables early in the year

But talent wise I think they're in the top 15

And I expect a revamped offense that will be more reminiscent of Sooner football

Buffalo716 -- a heartfelt post if there ever was one.  I and others appreciate your deep knowledge of the game and your willingness to share it.

On this latter topic, I read a piece on how the D could show man but really be in zone. One of the "tells" that its a man D is for the O to put a WR in motion to the opposite side. If a db fallows that motion, it's man.

But the piece described how the db could follow the motion, thus showing man but the D was really playing zone. This tricks the QB into thinking it was man coverage.

Here's the rub (no pun intended): I cannot find the post and I cannot remember how the D plays zone to the side the db vacated.

Do you know the answer? Thanks

So you could have some man match principles with a boundary corner in MEG

That would be man everywhere he goes

So if z goes in motion your boundary corner could potentially follow him... While the other principles of the offense dictate coverage probably a cover 4 variant with bracketing

Cover 4 lock could potentially have guys following a receiver.. but the safeties are still in quarters and the linebackers would still be in zone with the boundary corners in full man

I am curious as to where Saxum (Limeaid) has been.  Hasn't been seen here since November.  I vaguely remember he had some health issues prior to that.
