Do you remember TJ Yates?

I was looking at some old Bills stuff and saw a roster for the 2018 season where the QBs were Josh, Nathan Peterman & TJ Yates.

 

I do not recall Yates being on the team.

Yea he played a playoff game for the Texans didn't he? 

 

He had a summer here but I don't think he was ever on the roster during a season.

Correct on both counts. Won a playoff game against the Bengals in 2012. Placed on IR just before the season opener in 2017, released after reaching an injury settlement a week later.

Sure. I think he was a practice squad guy during the offseason.

Yep. UDFA made the squad at linebacker the first Rex year, got on the field at the end of the year I specifically remember him making some plays in that finale where we stopped the Jets making the playoffs. Then he retired after one year in the league because of concussion concerns.

He was the original Milano.

 

He had some splash plays as a rookie that you felt could open the door to more playing time.

I don't think he was close to the athlete that Matt is. But he had that gamer instinct in him so I know what you mean.

2018 is kind of an odd season it was the one season under McD that rhe team didn’t make the playoffs and the only things I remember was Allen hurdling over  Barr in the Vikings domination game and beating Saint Doug and the Jags.
