I hope each of you are not stuck on a grill all day.  For us, we are going bowling today. We will wish a happy belated birthday to my son, Ryan, and stepson, Lucas.

 

Whats better than bowling in the A/C, in FL in June.

my son invited me to his home for a bbq. nothing makes a dad more proud than watching his son succeed.  has a wife and 2 young kids. manning the grill and have marguaritas. that's what it's all about

Drove to Detroit for a weekend get away. Saw the Ford museum and old Dearborne village. They havecan antique car show going on this weekend. Today heading to Tigers-Reds game.

what is it with dads who INSIST on smoking meat on Fathers day when it is supposed to be a day where they are waited on and thanked for their  fatherhood.

 

The answer is because dads get to do whatever THEY want today. and if it is smoke meat well baby have at it 

 

We are having today a feast day here. Ribs, corn on the cob, WNY style macaroni salad with tuna fish, asparagus , watermelon and strawberries, rolls and a Key Lime Pie.

 

I ABSOLUTELY wish all the dads Happy Fathers Day. and I will also remember my own dad Ted. army air corps WWII vet , artist and the blueest eyes you have  ever seen 🙂 RIP

HFD! My 87 y.o. Father is coming over. A full day of hearing how tough it is for him. I mean I get it. He can only ride his bike for 7 miles. He can only walk 3 miles a day. He recently started to wake up at night to pee. He doesn’t wear glasses, hears fine and just dug out a 100 ft. hedgerow, clears and snow blows his 130 ft. driveway, cleans his 1600 sq. ft. house, it’s pretty much spotless. New car every 3 years, drives everywhere. Doesn’t bemoan being alone.
 

…..and tell him he’s fortunate? I don’t dare.

 

(just to add, my brother, sister and myself are definitely fortunate)

Happy Father's Day as well! I woke up this morning and looked outside, and my lawn had just been mowed (and not by me this time)....not a bad way to start the day!
