Another Fan Posted May 24 Posted May 24 (edited) A very sort of off season thread I realize. The other thread about fandom pre Josh Allen made me think of too how following the Bills or really a lot of things changed over the years. In the 90s and I think even the 2000s the teams official site seemed to be where it was at. After the old BBMB got cut off very abruptly I really don’t look at Buffalobills.com much at all. I thinks its still a source for tickets but I’m not sure how much use it still gets. Edited May 24 by Another Fan 3 Quote
Fleezoid Posted May 24 Posted May 24 For me, I'll check in occasionally during training camp. But a lot of that stuff is already posted here. Once the season starts, not really needed much since there's content everywhere. 1 Quote
4th&long Posted May 24 Posted May 24 No. I don't go their anymore since the pulled the message board out from under our feet. I don't care for fluff articles so no need to go to that site. 5 10 Quote
H2o Posted May 24 Posted May 24 I was never a fan. I get more enjoyment from being on and reading this website than I ever did over there. 2 Quote
GunnerBill Posted May 24 Posted May 24 I use the app and the youtube page. I very rarely visit the website. 1 Quote
JJGauna Posted May 24 Posted May 24 I enjoyed the variety of characters on the BBMB and had fun with the pickem games, simulation league, etc. When they shut down this was the obvious choice for Bills news, thoughts, opinions and WR threads. Cant say I miss visiting the official site. Quote
Steptide Posted May 24 Posted May 24 I use the bills app occasionally, but I find it annoying. So much stuff on there, it's hard to navigate sometimes 1 2 Quote

njbuff Posted May 24 Posted May 24 BBMB was the best message board by a mile. Had a ton of friends over there. When they abruptly ended that board, I barely ever go there. Quote
wppete Posted May 24 Posted May 24 No not anymore. Its useless except for checking the roster. 1 Quote

I remember back in like 2004/2005 there was talk that the GM at the time (Donahoe) would lurk on the message boards…..I wonder how many other Bills personnel guys lurked? Quote

Probably because it was too hard to moderate and there began to be a lot of pressure to police content more and more. 3 Quote

Mango Posted May 24 Posted May 24 On the useless ladder it's about one rung lower than One Bills Live. On 5/24/2025 at 10:09 PM, wppete said: Probably right . akcash Posted May 24 Posted May 24 NFL.com and all the team sites webpages are so slow when navigating. That itself is a huge turn off. 1 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Nope. The way I follow the team and consume content these days is far different than the early 2000s. The funny thing is going on the Official team website and using those message boards was new and exciting compared to how we consumed content back in the 90s. Evolution is wild man 2 Quote

They, like most teams, got rid of it due to concerns over liability and inability to control their branded topics. They were smart to do it. They're a football team. Not a message board. 1 2 Quote
