BillsFan130 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 (edited) Don't they have Starks and Hamilton as the presumed starters? Unless they were planning on mixing in 3 safeties a lot on passing downs Edited May 14 by BillsFan130 1 Quote
Senth Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Major hit for that defense. Michael Pierce also just retired in March .... another big big loss in the run defense. Quote

Unless they were planning on mixing in 3 safeties a lot on passing downs Washington would essentially be their nickel/dime except in packages where Hamilton did that role when Washington would play safety. Essentially his versatility helps them use Hamilton more as a chess piece without having to tip their hand as to what defense they are in. His loss isn't terminal, but it isn't nothing. Redblood Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Definitely harms their depth at the position. Hate to see any player injured. He was a very good player in college Quote
Prospector Posted May 14 Posted May 14 (edited) Didn’t we lose Tre White for the playoffs when he was at his peak? Edited May 14 by Prospector 1 Quote

Prayers for a quick recovery I couldn’t agree more on not praying for injuries. As much as I hated in days gone by, I never could agree with wanting Brady to get hurt. 1 Quote
geggytah Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Losing a player like Ar'Darius Washington is a big blow for the season. Hope they can find a way to adjust and keep pushing forward. 1 Quote
Fleezoid Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Well, if he showed up conditioned to the conditioning drills, this may not have happened. Isn't this the normal expectation? Quote
SoCal Deek Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Achilles injuries seem to have become the new ACL of the modern athlete. One could say they’ve become a veritable Achilles heel. 2 Quote
The Cincinnati Kid Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Torn achilles is a bummer. That’s a tough one professionally but also personally. Dunno about him but having little kids and a torn Achilles is probably tough. Quote
billsfan89 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Injuries are the worst part of football (any sport really) Ravens fans seem to be very upset about this as they think very highly of him. Sad to see this happen in the off-season. I always wonder are Achilles tears like this are just "freak" occurrences or is this something that was kind of just bound to happen due to wear and tear?
