I WISH I'd had the huevos to walk away from being a founding member of Steely effing Dan, only to go on to even more popular success/acclaim. I'd personally prefer being an elite 70s studio musician who worked with everyone, to being a leading 80s/90s comic actor. But come on. What lore.

Yeah but would you “Do it again” ?

I doubt it. It doesn't really work like that. Dropping 15 pounds doesn't up your RAS score from a 4 to a 9. One is an elite athlete and one isn't. Watching their college tape it is no contest. Landon Jackson is much more fluid than Epenesa.

Dropping a bunch of fat and gaining strength doesn’t improve athletic ability? Why do athletes do exactly that every year before the combine to improve their scores?

Watch Epenesa in college and in the pros. Completely different. His get off is a lot faster, he’s not as stiff. Landon looks pretty stiff as well in college.  Also never said it would up his score from a 4 to a 9 I said it would be closer.

I admit, he's the pick I'm most excited about in terms of upside.

I think he's going to make Epenesa trade bait at some point this summer.

and if no trade a former Bill next year...

He comes with the dreaded high motor tag, but I think he is a lot more than that. REALLY looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Oh when they say "his motor is non stop" my ears go up like... here comes Mr Mediocrity...  with a couple of exceptions....

Sanders being an immediately better pass rusher than Oliver

Jackson rotating in 40-50% of the snaps filling in for when Bosa or Rousseau come out & getting 8-10 sacks

Deone Walker being healthy, playing 30 snaps per game and DESTROYING the pocket

this is what's needed.

That's certainly not all needed.

But it would absolutely be nice!!

More QB disruption. That's what's needed.

Said another way …

“I know I create confusion in a community where many people spend time reading here and listening to a podcast.   However, I’m unconcerned about that because I’m butt hurt about some perceived slight from years ago that’s important to me, and no one else.   The confusion will arise from time to time among people investing time and energy here.   That matters not to me.   In my universe this is clever and self gratifying.   The rest be damned.”

Get some fresh air, my dude.

This team is severely overdue to draft a big time pass rusher. Just from sheer odds alone, eventually we got to run into one. It’s been decades

You have to get really lucky to nab a top sack artist picking in the back end of round 1.  There are not many to be found in any given draft year.

We’ll, let’s not act like we didn’t pick in the top half for almost 20 straight years
