Absolutely love it. The kid has real talent. Blessing to get somebody like that at this stage in April.

It’s straight up hypocritical. Just be real, the board didn’t fall the way you thought it would. Maybe he was frustrated they didn’t get a receiver too….

Its hilarious to me. As if it was intentional in the interviews. If so its Epic work by Beane

Think he was on speed dial for a month or more.

“We felt that defense was a bigger and more immediate need heading into the draft and with the way the board fell, we also felt the value wasn’t there at receiver when we were picking.  But we’re always looking to make our team better and we’ll be open to adding more talent at the receiver position before training camp.”

- what Beane should’ve said.

You don’t guarantee anything publicly for the sake of some radio host

Does this mean that the guys on WGR were right and Beane was wrong? 😂

No.. they were talking about Draft..  and what we could do and not do in draft..  viewers pretty split on how that all went down.. im not going round 9 lol

I see this as the analog of Chase Claypool last year. A talented athlete who hasn't been able to figure out the NFL game and has had questions about his attitude. I'm fine with it because he upgrades Shenault and Shavers but I don't have a ton of optimism.

Dude has averages 50 catches a year in the past 4 seasons…. This is a great pickup

Pretty much every interview from McD and Beane contains the phrase "we are always looking to make our team better".

So since he didn't say it this time he should be shunned?

That I totally agree with. I think it was more the fact that they don’t see the good that he does. And there’s a ton of good. And I’m stoked about this signing. This kid is gonna surprise a lot of people.

Not sure he will surprise, but hopeful.

Had a feeling Bills were interested in this cat for awhile. Knew the skill set was still a need.

Good score by Beanes Team.

Do I need to bring up Shavers and KJ Hamler too? Let’s be real, he’s not making the 53 unless he shocks everyone.

Ok.  Let’s be real.  We drafted a WR; you said we did not.  Whether he shocks folks or not remains to be seen.  Benford sure did.

That's exactly right. Fans overrate how much extra production WRs get from elite QBs. Chase and Higgins were still elite when Jake Browning was their QB. The example I always use is Tyreek Hill got more production when he went from Mahomes to Tua. WR production is about a whole lot more than their QB, and most of it rests on the WR themselves.

I'm struggling to think of a recent example of a WR where the light suddenly clicked on after getting a better QB? It didn't happen with Kadarius Toney or Chase Claypool or Nelson Agholor, etc.

I don't disagree with you, but just to play devil advocate, go look at Wes Welker's numbers with Tom Brady and without Tom Brady. Also, if you take your argument to its logical conclusion you will come to the opinion that QBs don't matter. If Chase can put up big numbers with Browning, why pay Burrow >50 million?

For what to pay them some amount of signing bonus so they can be cut the end of August.    Barring an injury the five listed below are all on the team.  Add in two TE's who even though Kincaid didn't live up to expectations last year are still threats that need too be taken seriously and need to be game planned for.  Also have RB's that can catch passes and can run the ball behind a very effective O-line.

Teams with star QB's don't need star WR's as they QB can make the WR look much better than they really  are.

Offensive coordinators are the key ingredient with seemingly lesser talent. Josh just does Josh. :)

I disagree.  Elite WRs are generally very good with bad to average QB play.

Not exactly sure how a good WR can become a very good WR if they have a bad/average QB.

Well I would caution that coopers ailments in Cleveland were blamed on poor qb play also and then he was just a guy here.

a third round pick was thrown away.  At least Moore only costs money.

No risk. Good move. There is untapped potential. Guy has something to prove. If he complains you cut him and he probably never gets another job. I think he will play nice for a year to parlay a big contract playing with Allen. Hired gun to try and help us win a championship. If I’m the Bills I use him as a punt returner as well.
