Would that be a first... passing on someone in the draft, only to then trade away draft picks to get an UDFA? 🙃 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Latu is pretty interesting. Doesn't look super fast but looks huge, could be an interesting development on the practice squad guy. 1 Quote

Pete Posted April 29 Posted April 29 https://sports.yahoo.com/the-nfl-drafts-secret-round-170012115.html In 2023, 194 Week 1 starters — almost 28% — were drafted in the first round of their respective drafts. Another 143 starters, or roughly 20%, were drafted in the second round, and another 107, or about 15%, were taken in the third round. In other words, picks in the top three rounds made up nearly two-thirds of all NFL lineups in 2023. Beyond that point, though, an interesting trend emerges. As expected, declining numbers of players selected in Round 4 (77), Round 5 (52), Round 6 (33) and Round 7 (18) reached the starting lineup. However, 80 undrafted players — more than any of the final four rounds — were in starting lineups in Week 1 of the 2023 season. More than 11% of all starters in 2023 went undrafted. This pattern holds over longer timeframes, as well. From 2019 to 2023, 429 undrafted players — more than 12% — reached the starting lineup. (We counted every season a player started separately; if an undrafted player started all five seasons, that counts as five “undrafted” starts.) That’s fewer than all Round 3-picked starters (521) but more than Round 4 (363). 1 1 Quote

BillsFanForever19 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Taylor Elgersma is interesting. He's a Canadian QB from a Canadian College. Bc of that, he's one of the top Prospects in the CFL Draft that's happening right now and will probably be Drafted pretty soon. Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 (edited) Elgersma was just selected 18th Overall in the CFL Draft. So if neither of the workouts with us or the Packers gets him a UDFA Signing to come to Camp (as it appears he hasn't been signed and is just a Rookie Mini-Camp tryout) - he's got a fall back option.
