I don't like that Coleman got 0 catches from 50/50 balls where he had to fight with the DB.

All of his catches where when he had separation.  He has the body control, just not the hands.

However, I'm hopeful, he can turn into Davante Adams, if he keeps improving. Right now, Gabe Davis has better possession skills.

Can we just be glad for now that he got separation? That’s been the biggest complaint from many, he can’t separate. It’s a good thing!

He had a very good game, and those contested catches will come. I’m not looking for things to be upset about. He’s not Gabe Davis. He’s not Jerry Rice, either. He’s a work in progress and he’s off to a good start this year.

Except the separation was because of zone or the DB giving a cushion. He does get credit for boxing out the DB on the slant for the game winning catch. Teams with big corners will shut him down if he doesn't improve his hand strength. Levi Wallace would eat his lunch.

The guy had 8 receptions for over a hundred yards and a TD and you are whining because he didn’t do it the way you wanted him to do it??? Holy hell. WHO CARES. The kid had a great game, he caught a tipped pass with his awful hands. I’ll never understand posters who try so hard to find a negative in a good performance.

That is not his fault. If they play zone or give him a cushion, he still gets credit. I fully agree, he has to keep improving. But I won’t take anything away from what he accomplished.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear the word separation with him. Are you serious?

Wait, you're being serious?

I thought you were just being sarcastic and trying to be funny.

JFC you people complain he doesn’t get separation cuz he’s too slow and now when he does, you complain he has no hands and can’t get 50/50 balls. Memory says he had 0 drops and the one 50/50 ball that fell incomplete would have been a 2 point conversion if Josh threw it higher.

is there no filter/thought process before posting? This is an idiotic argument. He had 8 fkn catches for 110 yards which projects to 136 catches and 1,540 yards over a full season. In this not enough? His  deflected pass catch saved the game. How were his hands there? As Chris Bermsn used to say, “there are no stupid posts, just stupid people who make posts.”

He had a great AFCC game against us in January.

With all this 'inability' to find talent, that team is gunning for its fourth consecutive SB appearance...Will any day take that drafting than our inability to get to the big dance with our draft picks especially for the defense.

McConkey was a 2nd round pick..Worthy was a late 1st round pick.  They could have had their choice if they desired.   McConkey does not have the speed of Worthy

Worthy does not have the route running ability, the hands, the stats, the size, nor the character of McConkey

This is spot on! Let me add to it! I hate that Josh only completed any passes when the line blocked for him and his WRs actually caught the ball! If he was a real MVP he wouldn’t have needed any of that!

I’m hopeful he turns into Trent Dilfer, but right now he’s just Brad Johnson

He's a work in progress and was always considered a project.  I didn't expect to see his best until years 3-4.

Save the flaming please but Worthy just looks special.

Beane needs to really reevaluate his willingness to give our biggest rival the player they wanted.

I know this has been hashed and re-hashed but it’s such a huge black eye for this organization.

What is the silver lining here?

Nice call here, a seminal post now on TBD, one that will likely keep looking more and more humorous as the months, and years, roll by..

Before the draft the Bills were clear--no small players like that now, no more, as we needed a big, physical X receiver who could go and get it, and have his way with smaller DBs.

Looks like a great call by McBeane, on both fronts, passing on the small, now often injured Worthy, and nailing it with the big, physical, smart X receiver in Coleman who has a championship work ethic and attitude.

Things can change of course, but that is where things stand right now. And not coincidences that Worthy is not available, again and again, and that Coleman looks like the player they wanted, that Josh wanted.

That 2pat he has his jersey ripped off his shoulder pad. Yes, it was after the catch but it should have been obvious Wiggins hand was around Coleman's collar to begin with to do that.

Great

Likely doing what you say here, in bold, because he trashed Coleman here or elsewhere on the board?

That is usually the case with bashers,  they just keep going down another dark ultra negative avenue once their original bashing falls apart.  And then again, and again and again... as if the reality of the situation never happened.

Just like this one you rip apart so well..

Wow, one of the all time most ridiculous, ignorant, sour grapes comments in the 25+ years I have been on this forum--see bold above!!!

Anyone that thinks that, well, there are no words that define how off  that is--shockingly so.. I had to re-read it several times to see if I was reading it incorrectly.  Nope--that's what it says!

If by eat his lunch, he means Coleman would definitely have 100++, maybe 200+yards, and 2-3 TDs, then I would agree with that statement completely.

Yikes.  Scary stuff, like they have not watched football in years and years..

Can only imagine how this poster must have bashed Coleman to now say something like that.

Someone with more time than I have now needs to do a deep dive and post the results! If I was a betting man, which I am, I would bet substantial resources they have been destroying Coleman, and likely since the moment he arrived.  And instead of admitting how completely wrong they were, they are just digging in their heels--to quicksand.

I don’t even see Wallace in the league. Couldn’t find him on the jags roster.
