McDermott clearly did not have the team ready to play.

McDermott is calm, steady, reliable. 

 

McDermott's scheme is keep the game in front of you, make the other team go all the way down the field bit by bit. Nothing comes cheap. 

 

He's betting that the opposing offense will eventually make a mistake, and he's usually right. Even last night, NE made plenty. But so did we, which is uncharacteristic. Without the Coleman fumble and Allen INT, we win. 

 

The problem comes playoff time. Not only is the talent and coaching much better, but everyone is hyper focused. Thus, this approach on D is less successful.

Im done with McD. Hes a defensive coach with a bad defense lmao. We have decent pieces to be at worst middle of the pack. He's going to have to fire Babich to prove he gives a ***** about his defense. Babich cannot coach a whole unit, and I'm tired of people defending that clown
