Imagine believing that it was an elaborate ruse by the Bills to lobby to the point where the Governor of New York declared a state of emergency in 15 counties 2 days before the playoff game was scheduled. They even went as far as having her declare a multi-county travel ban per their request!

It worked, they got to avoid Najee Harris in the snow

I think they might get this one moved too

They were never playing Najee Harris in the snow. Their options were either move to Cleveland or move the game to Monday in Buffalo.

There was a TRAVEL BAN issued by the Governor of New York. Do you understand what a travel ban is?

A travel ban means roads are closed and that only emergency, or essential personnel should be allowed to travel (example, first responders). You could be ticketed by local law enforcement agencies if you are out driving during a travel ban.

I love the Buffalo Bills as much as anybody, but I’m not too sure I’d consider them emergency or essential personnel. That also goes for the thousands of fans that would make an attempt to drive from the 15 surrounding counties under a state of emergency had the game not been moved by the Governor.

Exactly. And that’s why it didn’t sit well with me. I love the Bills but I don’t think we should be trying to game the system for unfair advantages

the travel ban was clearly a mistake that weekend as it wasn’t that bad

Oooooh no you don’t!  We haven’t finished the lake effect argument yet and we are NOT starting an aircraft landing requirements argument.

Drat.  You got out in front of my NEXT thread which combined the two - aircraft landing requirements in lake effect conditions.

SO close...

I didnt realize Kincaid's injury was this bad. But its okay to not play him this week if not fully healed up. Cooper being up to speed and Coleman being back will very much help.

I like Dawson Knox as the main TE in a poor weather game anyways. Add in Coleman hopefully as more added size I believe benefits us in a bad weather game.

If an unforeseen act of God occurs, they’re not gaming anything. The travel ban was in effect for them as well. If anything, it would have been a disadvantage to make Buffalo prepare last minute to travel to Cleveland.

They earned a home playoff game, is it really fair to make them go play at a neutral site on short notice?

You’re starting to argue two different things, and that isn’t going to sit well with me.

I think Casey is either a Steelers or Dolphins fan who is still butt hurt about the Bills getting their game moved last winter, while the Dolphins were forced to play in really cold weather.
