It didn’t work with Elam and rosseau. Late 1st round guys at “expensive” positions. Kincaid top guy at his position late 1st worked out great. TE can be grouped in with NT,S,center

You’re clueless if you don’t think Rousseau has been worth his selection. He’s very good.  He’s not elite.  Putting him in the same sentence as Elam is downright disrespectful.

I think Beane may have a stealth splash move planned. Rework Dawkins and Allen, sign DJ Reader.

I can see him trading up ten spots for the WR he wants. Not more, but only because he doesn't have the capital.

He seemed to under perform for Jaguars which is why he was released after getting a big contract,  Not shown he can be a consistent performer,

Never like it when highlights for a player on NFL.com is when they are before he gets a big contract,

Rousseau is pretty dam good

I do like his play. Good rotational guy. Doesn’t dominate consistently and is not on an all pro or even pro bowl track. You need that from your first rounders. Good rotational guys can be had later in the draft.

First rounders need to be on at least a pro bowl track after their second year.

lol-  whatever you say.

Alicia Silverstone Reaction GIF

making the pro bowl as a DE is one of the most difficult things to do in the nfl.  He’s a very good player. Period

If you are taking the first safety off the board expectations are wildly different than taking the 5-6th guy at an elite position like edge(or qb if taken to the extreme)

you are way over generalizing with your standard.

Maybe if you're picked in the Top 10. To get an average to above average starter at DE at Pick 30 - you're doing pretty good.

If you know your DL is rotational why do you pick a DE in the first round. First round guys need to be over 90% snap count. DB, S, TE, C, LB is where you find guys top at their position later in the first round. Rousseau is around 50-60% snap count

DB, C,S, LB,DT is where we should be looking if we stay where we are in the first

I think this is unrealistic.

That's why drafting a 3T to backup Oliver doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be relegated to 20-30% of snaps. If he's the 2nd best interior pass rusher he's going to lining up next to big Ed is passing situations.

With that said, a true 1T to backup (hopefully) DeQuan Jones would be nice to have as well.

If you going to run this "rotation" ? I want two man eaters and two guys like Ed or better even.

Thats all I ask for

Full rush or eat 3 to 4 O line men and or ,the lead back. simple

This guy might be a good fit replacing Tim Settle ?

If a guy is tired and out of gas, you put in their backup.  That’s football.  NTs tire much faster than other positions.

Then he's not doing it right.

if he lines up over the center or shades the A-B , he just needs to lean forward and watch the gaps. How hard can it be ....
