Lost in the craziness: Dorian Williams

QB Bills

Recommended Posts

Is it just me or does this guy look like the Bills found something here? He plays with intensity and hits harder than any linebacker the Bills have had since maybe Nigel Bradham (outside of Milano, of course). Might have taken a bad angle on a run or two on Monday but he is young so not totally unexpected. Would like to see more of him and less Dodson (preferably not at all) paired with Bernard.

Living in Ravens country They have a D that hits you and hits you hard. Their LB hurt you. They always have. Like Zach Moss said: Force players  to make business decision over the middle.  We have nice, fast guys. I want guys that hit you and make you think twice...and maybe a fumble Occasional penalties will happen especially since today if a player thinks he deserves to get a call he simulates the flag being thrown then 2 seconds later the ref agrees.

I also hate the in football pulling the ball out when the player is almost down like on Monday night. Just seems cheap. I like a hit and the ball pops out.

Ehh, I'll admit to not focusing on him during the game, but the times I did notice him it wasnt for anything good.

Mostly getting absolutely stonewalled or blown up when trying to blitz.

McD should be canned for sending our smurf LBs on blitzes so much.

I do hope he can develop over the next couple of years.

Funny you mention Bradham. I compared him to Bradham a while ago. A little wild like Bradham at the start but Bradham learned to control it.

The couple times I noticed him Monday night he was kind of in no man’s land when Wilson did his flip passes.  One more step and he would’ve hit Wilson and prevented the flip or lay back more and he would’ve taken away the RB on the flip.  But he was around the ball a lot and looks a lot more nimble and powerful than Dodson.

The only business decision Moss ever forced was trading his ass outta Buffalo.

Russell Wilson has been one of the worst QBs in football when being blitzed this year, hasn't he?

Same thing we said about Mac Jones, wasnt it?

How's this working out? Blitzing when you physically cant get home does nothing but give the QB an easy read and wide open WR.

Yeah except for the fake he was burned on the Russ Wilson flip pass twice in that game Monday Night.

He’s not good enough to stop looking for something better.

On those two dumpoffs by Wilson, I believe his job was to spy. In both cases, he had no opportunity to make a play as Wilson snuck out of the pocket and the rb was uncovered. If he covered the rb, Wilson runs and fans are saying he sucks because he can't spy. If he chases Wilson, which he ended up doing, we get this side of the coin.

Other than taking a bad angle on one or two runs, I don't think he made any other glaring errors.

At this point, i'd rather see the Bills run with young guys and see what we have for next year.  Stop gap geriatrics or tier Z guys who send McDurrr a Christmas card every year can ride the pine on their way out

It worked when Micah got his hands on the ball.

Idk, I heard too much about "sitting back and getting picked apart" from the Frazier days to really kill a DC over a couple blitzes.

It's not like Von and the gang are getting pressure with 4.

Whole defense is a JAGfest post-injury and you gotta try something.

He's still got a lot to learn, but he's seeing playtime as a rookie. That's more than Bernard got. Give Williams a season or 2 and let him gain that experience and we may have something there.

I know it's different positions, but he's already around the ball more than Edmunds typically was and he's not afraid to make contact.

It worked on 1 play, we still lost the game. Against McCorkle.

I dont want to hear about the Frazier days. It's far more than "a couple". We went from one extreme to the other. It's almost like McD is maliciously complying with the Frazier criticism and saying "oh you want to see some blitzes? Fine, I'll blitz every play!"

Von isnt, but Floyd/Oliver/Rousseau/Epenesa all are. Put Joseph as the cornerstone in the middle and lets roll.

Coach needs to figure it out before it's too late (spoiler alert: it's too late)
