Do we win if the game was 5 quarters?

We probably win if not for Kincaid's fumble (which I don't blame him for - great play by the defender)

I've heard people say this, but where is the evidence?

Say we score a TD on the Kincaid fumble drive. Then we score a TD the next drive (like we did).

Let's say we even went for and got the  2 point conversion, like we did.

It's now 25-24 Bills.

Bengals get the ball and literally drove 60 yards in a minute and a half. They are a few yards away from field goal range for a game winning field goal when they kneeled the game out.

How do we win this?

That's fair. And I hate it when opposing fans do that.

But, if Kincaid doesn't fumble, it's at least a 50/50 kind of game.  Reading the discussion here, it feels like the Bills got blown out.  And I felt that way too - but I realize that's just because of the 1st half. We found some footing in the 2nd half and came back well in that game.  I don't think there was a point where we outplayed Cincy, but the 2nd half was more what I expected.  2 pretty evenly matched teams.

Maybe. I said in the game thread we were wearing them down with physical play and I still think that was the case.

But losing another couple starters in the worst spots possible was going to make it difficult to for them to shorten Bengals possessions.

With Bernard and Benford, yeah, we probably win that game if it's 15 minutes longer.

With Bernard and Benford, we maybe could have even stolen it in regulation. 🤷‍♂️

I know, but it feels like the Bills got blown out. If we had lost a shootout, it would be one thing. But the continued offensive ineptitude is so deflating as a fan. This team is exhausting to watch, and I think that a lot of the posts on here today reflect that.

Now I think it is fair that we win the game with an extra quarter. The Bengals defense was really slogging at the end. I just dont think the fumble would have changed much, based on how our defense reacted when we needed that final stop.

I think if we are asking a good "what if" question, it would be, what if we adjusted to playing man-press very early. Preferably before the game started, since we have played Burrow 1.25 times in the last 10 months. It was so incredibly obvious that he would pick apart the zone, and that didn't stop until we moved to mostly man, but by that point we were already in a deep hole.

It did seem like the offense found some footing in the 4th quarter.

Not sure if the Bengals offense plays any differently while not protecting a two score lead though.  As soon as we cut it to 6, they went aggressive again and moved right down the field.

So to win games we need

No sun, no rain, no wind, no snow, no travel, and for games to be five quarters

We may be in trouble

Too much of that this season.

Do you think we would have won or not? Plenty of threads to air complaints in today. This is a simple question.

Bengals are just a bad match up for Bills.

our o line has troubles with their d line. Their o line handles our o line.

they have more playmakers and get better qb decisions. their coverage forced errors and confusion in our passing games.

Bills Can’t run the ball. they forced turnovers.

it’s not one thing it’s everything.

played out In similar fashion to playoff loss.

Sorry for my woulda, coulda, shoulda, iffa post in your thread. 😗

If the Bills could of tied it to get to OT, it would of  given them a 50/50 chance to win, imo.

Unfortunately, most games only need 4 quarters to be decided.
