Raiders fired HC Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler.

After how he stiffed the colts its absurd he even was considered for another spot.  I imagine this wont be the end either.  Down the road a few years from now some owner and gm will begin selling him on Tom Brady's accomplishments and give him another shot

Looks like they hadn’t (and probably still haven’t) built up a lot of cash yet Cash on hand by NFL standards that it. Free agent and coaching hires must have depleted what they had. There are still escrow requirements for guaranteed money in player contracts. Also teams often use a lack of cash on hand as a bargaining excuse. Like the LV Raiders couldn’t borrow $40M if they needed to.

Derek Carr is absolutely terrible. That is not the issue in LV. The coach was one of the biggest issues, that’s over now. I’m not saying the guy they replaced McDaniels with is any good, how can I know but McDaniels is clueless. The Raiders have some players and they wasted way too many years with Carr there. Jimmy G isn’t spectacular but he’s very solid. Let a coach that understands NFL protection and scheme get a hold of that team and they can be pretty good. They got a lot better today big picture wise.

Carr is definitely not “absolutely terrible.” He’s very slightly above league average who can get a team to the playoffs if the stars align. He’s done it twice and will probably do it again this year because NO is the best team in a bad NFC south.

Can't wait for this snake to slither back to the Cheater pit - another Bellicheat tree fail w/o the system of cheating in place (not that he didn't try to recreate it in Den)

Just another “offensive genius” who’s career was made off of Tom Brady’s back.

I don’t know how anyone looked at his time in Denver where he replaced Jay Cutler with Tim Tebow, dismantled a good team and said yeah I want to try that guy again.

His first order of business was doing the exact same thing in Las Vegas replacing Carr with Jimmy. The 2nd that happened I would have said this guy learned nothing from his first stint.

Plus a lot of players think he’s an ass too probably doesn’t help

Umm Carr stinks, and Jimmy G. Was a winner his entire career till Vegas. His issue is he is made of glass. So it isn’t the same thing at all.

Players in Ne Loved playing for him, I think the “ass” thing is a fan perspective especially in Indy where he said yes then jilted them at the last minute.

I don’t understand firing the GM. The Raiders have some amazing talent on that team, IMO he did his job.

It’s not that Carr is a world beater but how bout team chemistry man. Adam’s came there to play with Carr, McDaniels knew that. Instead he gets rid of Carr, pissing Adam’s off for a guy who is a lateral move at best. Adams was getting the ball with Carr and now he is doing squat every week. Adam’s would have understood if it was a 1st or 2nd round pick.

He kind of did that with Tebow replacing Cutler but everyone under the sun knew Tebow would struggle to throw the ball in the NFL.

I have heard a couple players in interviews talk about how they can’t stand McDaniels. Wasn’t even thinking about the Indy thing until the other poster brought it up

Not saying that Davis has a ton of liquid cash on hand, but the Raiders' value has skyrocketed since moving to Vegas:

"The valuation of the Raiders continues to rise in Las Vegas, with the Silver and Black now worth $6.2 billion, making them the sixth-most valuable team in the NFL.

The team’s value increased 22 percent over last year, when they were ninth, jumping $1.1 billion since 2022, according to Forbes annual ranking of NFL team values.

The Raiders have come a long way from 2015, when they were 31st in the 32-team NFL in these rankings."

Vegas....the home of the Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights, the WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces, and a team that also “participates” in pro sports, the Las Vegas Raiders.

And coming soon the Oakla... oops I mean Las Vegas A's.

In no world is Jimmy G. a better QB then Carr, who I don't think very highly of either. Carr suffered through some of the worst defenses in the NFL. Jimmy G. was propped up by surrounding talent, similar to Brock Purdy. Didn't he win the NFC Championship game throwing like 9 passes?
