Williams was also replaced by Dodson last game against the Pats. McDermott talked about it this week in his presser. And when asked did not confirm Williams would be starting this week. I agree with those who think a WR is the better route. LEONARD WILLIAMS, DL: 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 5 QB hits, 1 blocked FG, 7 games Williams, 29, has stepped up in the final year of his expensive contract, which carries a void year in 2024. So he is the most attractive trade chip on the Giants’ roster. Imagine what adding Williams to an already strong defensive line could do for a contender. Similar to Barkley’s situation, trading Williams off the Giants would weaken the team and send a clear message that this organization is playing for the future more than the present. Still, he carries a team-high $32.2 million cap hit. It will be difficult if not impossible to retain him after this year.
