Israel and the Slaughter in Gaza

Could not disagree with this more.

Doing nothing offensive does nothing other than invite more or this.

There is an old military axiom. You don't build something, just so you can defend it.

We need to move mud in Yemen, and we need to do it now rather than put up with another defense of 14 x $20k missiles using 16 x $2.5m missiles.

Innocent non combatants are in jeopardy, and sailors from the cooperative nations are sitting on their hands waiting to be attacked instead of  using what they are capable of to eliminate the threat.

You won't get an argument from me if we attack those terrorists. But doing due diligence prior to that is prudent.

President Joe Biden said the US is still working through whether to support a UN Security Council resolution that calls for a halt in Gaza hostilities to allow more aid into the enclave after a vote on the matter was pushed to Thursday.

Pfft. Please.

1. Israel was warned.

sheep: I’m sure they get warnings all the time.

2. Hamas had hours to rape and pillage.
sheep: Now isn’t the time to find out who’s responsible for dropping the ball on security. It was a holiday.

3. There is a list. (That list is a calendar)
sheep: shhhh let’s pretend like he never said that.

4. There is a tunnel. (That particular tunnel was an elevator shaft)
sheep: shhhh let’s pretend like he never said that.

5. They are like nazis and they are committing a genocide on Israeli people. (In the meantime 20,000 Palestinians are dead and counting, nearly 2 million people made homeless)
sheep: did you look at Hamas’ original charter!

6. Hamas updated their charter specifically saying their beef is with zionists.
sheep: let’s just stick to their original charter.

7. They attacked our civilians.
sheep: We at least give warning before we kill thousands and thousands of theirs.

8. We want a ceasefire now!

sheep: why do you support terrorism?

9. Israeli soldier opens up a school book and reads it out loud on camera. He explains children are taught to hate in schools. The book he was reading from was ‘dedicated to martyrs’. (That quote and page was added to the book by that soldier. Proof is that particular page had crease marks because it was folded over several times)

sheep: shhhh let’s pretend like he never did that.

10. 3 hostages were gunned down by Israeli soldiers. They were clearly not a threat.
sheep: things happen in war.

11. All of Gaza is blocked off. Israel controls what and whom goes in and out. The Houthis cut off ships from going to Israel.
sheep: this is a act of war and deserves retribution. (All the while ignoring Israel is doing the same to Gaza)

I can go on and on. It is you that is sheep.

Nonsense.

The Israelis are not firing missiles at non combatants from non belligerent nations, nor firing cruise missiles at Yemen, but those actions may be forthcoming, hopefully.

The Houthis are not capable of cutting off ships going to to Israel if that attempted action is confronted.

The Houthis are committing an act of war that has been confronted many times over the years, which is disrupting shipping in international waters.

There is no Israeli quid pro quo to this.

It needs to be dealt with immediately.

He'll probably retort with something about BIbi secretly funding the Houthi rebels.

Nah. I know it’s a bad joke but he didn’t do that. Might be your cute little way of saying Bibi didn’t fund Hamas. Which he did. But sheep will sheep.

All of what you said is true except for the nonsense part. In the end people are suffering because of it. It’s an act of war either way.

No one is denying (at least not in this forum that I've seen) that Is real was at least a participant in getting funding to Hamas to keep things at a status quo.

My joke was more about some of your other ill-informed, antisemitic whacko conspiracy nonsense.

Indiscriminate? Ya

@Irv This make you happy?

https://www.cnn.com/gaza-israel-big-bombs/index.html

In the first month of its war in Gaza, Israel dropped hundreds of massive bombs, many of them capable of killing or wounding people more than 1,000 feet away, analysis by CNN and artificial intelligence company Synthetaic suggests.

Satellite imagery from those early days of the war reveals more than 500 impact craters over 12 meters (40 feet) in diameter, consistent with those left behind by 2,000-pound bombs. Those are four times heavier than the largest bombs the United States dropped on ISIS in Mosul, Iraq, during the war against the extremist group there.

Weapons and warfare experts blame the extensive use of heavy munitions such as the 2,000-pound bomb for the soaring death toll. The population of Gaza is packed together much more tightly than almost anywhere else on earth, so the use of such heavy munitions has a profound effect.

“The use of 2,000-pound bombs in an area as densely populated as Gaza means it will take decades for communities to recover,” said John Chappell, advocacy and legal fellow at CIVIC, a DC-based group focused on minimizing civilian harm in conflict.

There is nothing "indiscriminate" about it.

The link is yet more evidence of CNN's corporate ignorance regarding basic military stuff.

I'm surprised their corral of military experts didn't get consulted on this one.

Weapons are selected based on what the desired effect is. There is a technical manual called JMEMS, Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manual, which is used by the US to select weapons for various missions.

A 500lb bomb is perfectly suitable for surface targets, but useless as a bunker buster, which is what the Israelis are doing to eradicate the tunnel system which Hamas has created and serves as it's primary defense and weapon storage facility.

It takes a much larger weapon to get at those.

Somebody should point out this most basic information to CNN and Tibs.

Operation Prosperity Guardian in the Red Sea has practically Collapsed as France, Spain, and Italy have all announced their Withdrawal from the U.S. Command Structure for the Operation, with the Three Nations stating they will only conduct further Maritime Operations under the Command of NATO and/or the European Union and not the United States.

More of the Biden foreign policy master class.

That’s ok. It’s only the Palestinians. They’re expected to die and be happy about it. They’re expected to suffer. They say the Palestinians are taught to hate the Israelis in schools. There’s no way a massive bombing campaign every 5 years or so would create hate. Just the schools and ideology. They had this coming to them. They deserved this. They’re standing in the way of the dream of a Jewish only state. They’re animals. Sub-human. They should just leave. The Arabic nations aren’t accepting them though because of the first Nakba. But hey you should be expected to just give up on your land, your home, your culture and your history.

Let’s not do this. Do not condone the usage of the word “terrorism” for these examples of protests. You’re watering down the word. BLM and Jan 6th was much worse than these protests.

You want to know why I don’t go around posting rabbi’s doing the same thing as these guys? Because I know there’s guys like these out there too. It proves nothing. If that’s what we’re doing and if that’s the standard then everyone is evil. All religions. Are you that clueless to the world? You can’t be. Ain’t no way you haven’t seen ppl of other faiths using this same type of rhetoric and if so then it proves you go looking for information that further proves your preconceived biases and hate.

***** like this proves there’s a lot of ppl on all sides that can’t wait to see the world burn. Spread hate. Spread violence. Y’all (that type) want a religious war just as much as those evil Muslims shown above.

yes. things like 9/11, weather underground bombings were more severe forms of terrorism.

the definition of terrorism is using fear, violence or the threat of violence for political gain or change. it fit.

And a bit of irony as the same groups and pople that did the BLM riots. are these folks. they just are wearing the Palestinian scarf.
