The addition of Peters comes amid uncertainty about the severity of the injuries that knocked both of Seattle's starting tackles out of the team's season-opening loss. Right tackle Abraham Lucas missed the second half with a sore patella, which also bothered him during training camp. Left tackle Charles Cross left in the third quarter with a sprained big toe. He was available and we chose to sign Germain Ifedi instead. If he signed to a Practice Squad deal, it obviously wasn't a money issue. He was inserted into game for Dallass when starting RT was injured and then backup Josh Ball was ineffective. Josh Ball (sounds like our offense) however has been kept and Jason Peters went on to Free Agency. As a starting RT? Not a good idea. Backup LT on PS able to elevated? Maybe.
