Nobody cares about being out in the windy cold at the current stadium but suddenly are afraid they are exposed in the new palace. The concourses and entire experience are going to be so great at the new digs and those in the lower bowl got those seats because they want to be outside. Ha, yeah well, I didn't want to be out in the cold at all! My current seats are right up against the clubs so I get some heat and coverage. And I didn't get into the selection process early enough to get the exact seats I wanted. These were one of the few left that meet my desires. 18 minutes ago, PaattMaann said: no they wont We'll see. What he said was a glycol heat system for the natural grass to manipulate field temp and a snow melt system for the artificial turf areas on the edges. Not sure exactly how much difference there will be in snow melting between the two systems. Quote
ColoradoBills Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I envy you guys that will be there for the first game. The stadium is going to be something to behold. Go Bills. 2 Quote

What will they consider as the "First Game"? Pre-season (might be the only pre-season game in decades to be 100% fully attended) or the season opener? Quote

Gregg Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I bet the first home game will be a primetime game. You know how the NFL likes to showcase everything. What better way to open the new stadium than in primetime. Of course, I hope the Bills win the Super Bowl and the first game is the Thursday night game to kick off the new season but even if they don't win the Super Bowl I could see either SNF or MNF to open the new stadium. I doubt the new place opens up with a regular 1:00 game. 1 1 Quote

Not sure exactly how much difference there will be in snow melting between the two systems. In one of the videos I've seen they said the heating on the track is intended to be used to melt snow from inside the stadium - I assume that means snow in the lower bowl can just be dumped on the track to melt without it needing to be trucked out etc. There is also tons of drainage so maybe they also could melt piles of snow once there with external heat sources (bring in the flamethrowers!) How much the heated field can keep up with snowfall during a game is an interesting question (assume it might be covered with tarp beforehand so really only needs to melt snow for pregame/game?). Would be interesting to see if/how they will be testing the heating during snowfall this winter. One thing I learned today is that the perforations on the outer panels are in the shape of the slash on the Bills logo Edited 22 hours ago by stevewin 1 Quote

Makes sense, just wishful thinking. And honestly a preseason game will give me more time to wander around and check things out, where as a real game I will be locked in on everything taking place in the game 1 Quote
TFBillsfan Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Have to imagine the home opener will be against an AFCE opponent. Most likely the Jets since MIA and NE played first in Buffalo this year. 1 Quote

I would have to slit my throat if the Chiefs were to win the first game in the new digs. 2 Quote

THE TRAIN HORN IS DEAD!!!! Just watched the video. I really think Buffalo will have the chance to compete with Kansas City and Seattle for loudest stadium in the NFL. As crazy as Bills fans are the design of Highmark just never allowed us to be on that level 1 Quote

They will help the Bills close out the current stadium playing the Bills in the last regular season game in the current stadium. As the Bills oldest rival, I could see them being the opponent in the first regular season game at the new place. Quote
