Good to see you’re open minded🤓.. yes we would like to see 3rd picks start/contribute immediately. We shall see 🤷🏻‍♂️

Again. Just being realistic. This kid is a waste.

everyone is just stuck on the fact that we had a hole at MLB. And we drafted someone that’s not a MLB. Get it out of your minds that this kid is going to be something for this team. He’s not. He’s a backup at best and a STer. We can only hope they don’t waste extra roster spots and money on veteran ST players as well as these guys like Williams and Bernard.

It’s a ridiculous pick, just like Bernard last year.

You’re going to be trucked trying to stick 228 pounders in the middle of your defense.

Complete whiff, complete reach, when there were better players on the board.

Trades were happening all around them there and they didn’t think to get out of that pick?

Louis Riddick likes it, and he's a future GM, former player & best analyst on tv. What's your resume?

This feels a little bit like a forced pick. Maybe they were hoping to grab on of those other linebackers and then there was that mini run and they locked into taking a linebacker. There is zero chance he was BPA, whereas the other two picks felt like BPA. I don’t hate the pick…I hate the idea that they have already decided he’s really not going to be in the mix to play next to Milano. What’s the point?

I’m actually hoping the come away with Noah Sewell later who can actually slot in at Mike.

I liked Williams day 3 but I think a lot of us would have preferred something like gambling on the potential of Drew Sanders in round 2 and then going with a Chandler Zavala in round 3 if they were determined to go G/LB or LB/G.    Which is what it seems they were doing in hindsight.

They really couldn't have expected the LB's that could run to last to day 3, could they have?   Interior OL was generally expected to be deeper on day 3.

Torrence really has to be a very good guard for that sequence to make sense.   O'Cyrus has that "I saw him mocked in round 1" name recognition that Cyrus Kouandjio and Cody Ford had before him as second round offensive lineman that the Bills have drafted in Whaley/Beane eras.  Same kinda' questions regarding the agility from the knees down.  A second round guard really needs to turn into star quality blocker pretty quickly.

Milano was drafted 5th round, 6th round projection 6' 223 ran a 4.67

Williams Drafted in the 3rd round.. Mid fourth round projection 6'1 228 rand a 4.49

I wanted Jones more than life itself.. but sometimes you have to draft for need. it is what it is.

Edmunds was slow as hell getting to a flat or exploding to a flat. we got faster. New defensive scheme.. I GET IT... it is what it is.. and I am not going to get to down on this till i see what this turns into. I am not going to be the guy eating crow 6 months from now...

I don’t want to hear about Matt Milano.

I had the same concerns about Bernard as soon as that pick was made, but I made the well he’s like Matt Milano rationalization.

And what a shock! Bernard got on the field and was flat out terrible. He looked and played like lost-overmatched Safety.

Dewand is a bum, he’s lazy, he fat, since we’re going back in Bills history to put our capes on and defend a horrific pick, the same was said about Peters, how lazy and fat he was.

Don’t we have a proven Offensive Line Coach? He couldn’t help shape Jones into a quality player? Starter at Ohio State.

Makes no sense at all, how is this value or an understanding of the Draft by the Bills?

Every year they do this off the wall ridiculous pick on a guy that’s 2-3 rounds too early.

First two picks were so good and straightforward, but then we had to get Billsy and take Nic Harris, Alvin Bowen, Keith Ellison, Chris White and so on.

thanks as always putting this in perspective Shaw. Some teams Rotate ILB and their OLB calls the plays... Could you see that happening this year?

Sorry, but I've never really been much of an Xs and Os guy.  I don't know very much at all about linebacker strategy and techniques.  You very well could be right, but I just don't know.  I certainly could see Milano being the signal caller.   I just don't know if any on the roster can hold up at the other spot.

It just seems to me that these guys are very thoughtful about the kind of player they want, and it isn't an accident that they are collecting under-sized (or in the case of Spencer Brown, oddly-sized) athletes.   I have thought for a while that McDermott wants the best, most versatile athletes.   And smaller guys are generally more versatile.  I think it's all part of the wrestler mentality.

I'm not familiar enough with the defenses that other teams play, but quick but under-sized seems unconventional to me.

Beane said in his presser they had a few offers to move in the 3rd, but he didn’t like how far they’d have to drop so he took Dorian. He has traded up in 4 of 6 drafts, he gets super antsy and impatient, when I’d rather he sit in a dark room until it’s time to pick. I don’t like sacrificing picks.

What a dumb answer.

What is logic to that?

Draft a linebacker 1-2 rounds early?

Guess we did it for a converted Safety last year, so might as well try it again because it worked so well.

I like Dorian. Cotton Bowl D MVP, Team captain and fast. I had him as a 4th round target if we didn't get a LB early. Like last year not having our 4th hurts and there was a run at LBers.

there was a run on LBs….so what?  Sign another cheap Veteran after the draft and some UDFA’s instead. If we reached on our board in a panic that’s a total fail

Agreed, and aside from Allen, they haven't really shown the ability to draft these early rounds well.

And even though I like Kincaid, I haven't stopped hearing about how amazingly loaded this draft is with talented TE's, and I'm starting to get Sammy Watkins vibes.

Not in the fact Kincaid will be a bust, only that we'll find out many teams got Pro Bowl level TE's all over the place, yet we traded way assets to get ours.

We traded up for Edmunds & got nothing. We went back to back Edge rushers in 1st & 2nd rds and haven't seen much from it. We reached on Bernard in the 3rd & got a ST player. We went CB in the 1st, then had him on the bench in favor of a 6th rounder...

So what's different about THIS pick? Will a 228 lb ILB from Tulane really become a consistent starter this time? I don't know, but I don't like our shotty history...

You know, in an odd way, maybe he was the bpa.  It just seems to me that McDermott thinks the way to play is to be quick, fast, athletic, and versatile.  And I think Beane agrees.  The Kincaid pick was the same, in a sense.  Not a typical, more physical tight end, but a guy who features speed and skill in a complicated position.  And Bernard last year.   That's three versatile, quick (and small), talented guys.

Well, we're going to find out, because someone will actually have to play in the middle.

Yeah I agree l. And I do like Williams. What sours things for me is that Beane already basically said he won’t be the mike. So I don’t understand the why part of this deal and why there are baically writing him off as Milano’s backup and a special teams guy.

Say “we believe he can play mike and we will give him a shot in camp.” Then I can buy this.

I haven't heard Beane.  I agree with you. If special teams is his ceiling, I don't get the pick.

Campbell going in round 1 screwed the pooch.... that was the hardest issue.. This kid is a student of football and that is what McD and Beane love the most about who we drat. our first and second pick specifically shows student of football and can hold their position well. We will see... I wanted OT more than life itself but I have watched a ton of film on this guy.. I think we will be in better shame than some think. Sometimes a draft pick takes warming up to... this is that pick lol

we can all assume this and that is just fine... but none of us know including coaching what will happen till they hit the NFL field. Saying this kid is a waste this early, As much as it makes sense.. is to much crystal ball work for me.

Having flashbacks to last year's Draft:

- Trade ahead of the Cowboys moving up 2 Picks

- Pleased with Rounds 1 and 2

- Questionable 3rd Round Pick

- Don't pick again until Round 5

I think the pick is a head scratcher and wouldn't be who I would have gone with in Round 3.

But to say he's a waste and can't be "something for this team" before he even plays a down is absolutely ridiculous. You don't have a Crystal Ball and you don't know what he could develop into.

The wind game?

yeah i think. i was working. i think they threw it 2 times that game but brings up the point we need a D that can stuff the run because sometimes that's all either team can do in OUR weather. bengals had a good rushing attack in the playoff game we just lost as well.

maybe we are sitting this rook with AJ but beyond this year alot of small speed lbs we are stacking for the future.
