This was more like trying to get feeling back in there or rubbing a sore muscle. Then he chucked a ball 70 yards, the longest ball thrown in the last 6 years. You aren't doing that with a serious elbow injury. If he only missed 4 weeks with a more severe injury, you'd think there isn't much chance he misses the same amount of time with something less severe. People are worried because reading tea leaves is all we have, because the team won't say anything about Allen's injury and his talking about him the same way they talked about White and Poyer, who have missed a ton of time. He has been practicing for a month and he's been out of the red non contact jersey for 2 weeks. I believe it was Fraizer who at one point last week said he was basically ready go. If he went on today, I'd be hopeful he may say it was a minor tweak and he's hopeful to get out there on Sunday. Reading the tea leaves, this is to allow McDermott to brief the press that he's out X amount of games and give a timeline/breakdown of what we're dealing with.
