It’s still early in the season but Bills have #2 Defense and #3 Offense

damn. I would have to rewrite my last post. 😞

my point stands

some stats are useless

How many games was Tua benched?

How many games was Josh benched?

please

The Miami narrative on Tua being benched is that he just didn't have the right coaching.  It wasn't his poor play that got him benched.  Now he has a coach that believes in him!  Haha

To stay on theme, you should have made this title "Is anyone concerned the Bills only have the #2 Defense and #3 Offense?". Clearly McBeane have some work to do.

"The Bills have the #2 defense despite Edmunds being on the field" - am I doing it right?

This defense looks like it will be much better than last years "#1 ranked" defense which got exposed against good offenses. They can stop the run better as well as get to the QB.

Our D line is much stouter this year. The Bull rushes from Rousseau, Epenesa, Phillips etc have been absolutely stunning and beautiful.
Not only can we stop the run but we can get interior pressure regularly which makes every other positions job that much easier.

Nothing is given, especially health but the front half of this schedule is tough. We already held two of the better looking  teams to low yardage totals. By the end of this year we should be the number 1 Defense again.

Offense….? If we continue to crush multiple teams this year ( which I think most of us expect) Josh and company could be taking a lot of drives off, thus limiting his and the O’s totals. This would be awesome! The Lombardi is the Only accolade they need.

Stats are nice

but

what does this say?

A wannabe MVP

A never was has been, lucky to be on a SB team.

Another JAG that won a SB (lucky to be on a SB team like Trent Dilfer)

Josh 👽 Allen QB extraordinaire.

And another Rising star.

2 yards and Josh’s would be last.

Josh only played a game and 3 quarters!  So that’s really amazing.

Broken down by actual quarters played...

Tua - 739/8 = 92 passing yards per quarter.  When you add in his 1 rushing yard, his average moves up to 92 yards per quarter.

Allen - 614/7 = 88 passing yards per quarter  When you add in his 66 rushing yards, his average moves up to 97 yards per quarter.

Allen has produced 5 more yards per quarter of football played.

Tua was also very average in 7 quarters of the season so far and great in one

I was just looking at NFL power rankings after 2 weeks at NFL.COM.

Bills remain NUMBER ONE and the comment was that we are in a class of our own.

(KC was 2, Philly 3, TB 4, and GB 5).

As @Warcodered mentioned

one video clip

Bills # 1

Bills # 2

KC  # 3

Lol, if the Bills had Fitz, Josh wouldn’t have started, so that comparison is also useless. JA had no business playing his rookie year and it was obvious.  What we got to see is what would have happened if Maholmes played his rookie year AND you took away the whole team in front of him 😂

Mahomes had a PLAYOFF team backing him up FFS.

He had a #1 and # 2 WR

The Bills had who?

Zay Jones and  McKitrich

Bob Foster and Ray Ray

Here is what is funny about all of those...

Tua - Only has that many yards because he threw 2 pic in the first half and was down 21 points and had to throw practically every play and got a couple long broken coverage freebies.

Wentz - Same scenario, was down and had to keep throwing non stop

Flacco - Same scenario, was down big and had to throw constantly and got over 100 yards extra because Nick Chubb didnt take a knee.

Herbert - Legit passing yards, but took an extra quarter to get to one yard less than Josh Allen with less TD's.

Allen got all his yards dominating teams, not playing from behind, and did it 7 quarters instead of 8.  Plus Allen has even more rushing yards to go with that, and did this while missing one of his top weapons one of those games (so did Hebert too).

If I was to make a top 5 list of people in MVP consideration after week 2, its Allen out in front, followed by Mahomes, Hebert, Lamar, and Diggs as the top 5 guys.
