Are you just making this up?…hell, there are two teams just off the top of my head in their division with much better TE depth.

Who?  The Cheaters and Dols?  If either of their #1 TEs goes down, they're in trouble as well.

Realistically, he's probably not playing a full role till week 7 after the bye. He won't start practicing with the team until after week 4.

And I think that's ok.

Yeah. That’s realistic. I doubt Tre will be back to 100% this season. He can still round back into very good though.  No need to rush him. Healthy for the playoffs is what’s most important.

Seriously guys, we didn't lose that game to New England because of just one thing.  If it had simply been a very windy day and that was all, we would have won.  If our run defense just had a bad day at the office and that was all, we would have won.  If Daboll slapped the handcuffs on our best offensive player and that was all, we would have won.  It took all of those things to manufacture a loss to an inferior opponent.

(I do really mean "inferior opponent" by the way.  It brings me lots of joy to say this, but there is a very large talent gap between us and New England, as our subsequent back-to-back no-punt blowouts showed.)

That game was just a deeply weird game where lots of things went wrong and we still had chances to pull it out in the fourth quarter.  Blaming it on just one thing misses out on how many things had to go sideways for us to take that loss.

Agreed the Bills as a team overall did not show up for the game against NE and at Jacksonville. And yet we were one play away from winning both games.

Yes. Every team has holes in depth, as you pointed out with the Rams…. The Bills depth is extremely lopsided in favor of the defense..I’m not a fan of that approach considering this teams success rides with the offense and Josh putting up points. JMO.

It's 3 holes on the entire line.  You would be calling for Beane's head if that was a Bills depth.

I know McBeane loves their ST specialists…but I’ll be disappointed if we couldn’t have let go at least ONE of Jones/Matakevich/Kumerow to make room for a guy like Hodgins

I am disappointed that with multiple years of training and nutrition provided by Bills Hodgins does not appear to be worthy enough to make it as special teams player.

Pats and Jets paid a fortune for their depth. I wonder which of those guys at their contracts we’d take? Henry probably

Henry as a backup?  Sure.  But he's their #1.

Jonnu Smith and Tyler Conklin offer a lot more than anything Sweeney offers. Not even close.

Smith, barely.  The point being if Henry goes down Smith is not a replacement for him. Conklin possibly.  But it's the Jets so...
