I don’t care how many people are currently on the waiting list, I think that list will dry up pretty quickly.

I can tell you what the Jets do. As for seasons you can pay in full due 2/1 by check or credit card. You can pay over 6 months by credit card only starting 2/1. As for the PSL fee the Jets send that out in late September and its due Nov 1. You can pay it in one shot. Most people can't afford to do this. You can pay over 5, 10, 15 years. Unfortunately, the Jets charge interest if you do it this way. But the season ticket bill and PSL bill come at different times of the year. The Bills will have to work with the fans on the PSL fee. Many won't be able to pay it in one shot.

It was built solely FOR him, at his demand.

Like poloncarz didn't want to have a new stadium built along with the thousands of bills fans in WNY.

And all the businesses that are going to get jobs from the construction and maintenance of the stadium.

And all the sponsors that are going to want to have their name on a shiny new stadium.

None of them wanted it built.  Only Pegula.

Got it.

I’m more sure it’ll completely dry up. Right now between the difference in seats being offered in the new stadium from now, and the waiting list is 7k. Which likely goes up next year even more. If I remember correctly, last season there was a wait list of 3k. So it appears people are trying to get in now for multiple reasons. Allen and the team is doing well. the wait list for the new stadium is going to be hell trying to get in for multiple years. My guess is next season you will see a waiting list of over 10k.

They will definitely have to come up with something. I thought I heard options of one time pmnt. 1 year over time, 3 years over time, and 5 years over time. I can say this, even with interest, I’d opt for a 10 year or 15 year option of offered. Of course that depends on the price of the PSLs. Personally I think they are going to be much more than people expect. But will depend on section/seat options.

Obviously, the NYC area market is different than Buffalo. My seats at MetLife (I have 2 seats) had a $5,000 per seat PSL fee. I opted for the 10-year payment plan. Thankfully for me I am done paying that now. My PSL fee wasn't even the most expensive. Lower level 50-yard line had a 20,000 per seat PSL fee. Only the extremely wealthy or corporations could afford those seats.

Make long term payments so you can have the privilege to purchase tickets to watch multi millionaires play games. What a great time to be alive! Or, alternatively, there's a sucker born every minute! LOL

I am one of those suckers. Here is the funny part. Most Giants and Jets fans will tell you they like Giants Stadium better than MetLife. The stadium is now 14 years old but for a relatively new stadium it is viewed as a POS by most fans especially when compared to stadiums in Dallas, Vegas, LA, Minnesota, Indianapolis.

Yeah. Thought I heard that Dallas had some $50k PSLs in jerry world.

depending on how bad they screw the average fan I may be in or out. We will find out soon because I’m pretty sure season tix holders will be contacted by this summer with options or at least with expectations of how they are going to handle it moving forward.

To some people, being part of the experience is worth it. And to others, they may just renew their tix just to be able to sell them and make some money off then.

I also would like to know moving forward how they plan to deal with ST holders once you pay the PSL. Is it yours to do which what you want? Can you then sell your PSL to someone else in the future? If there’s a huge waiting list, you may find someone willing to pay even double the PSL fee just to jump 10k people in line to get tickets. Time will tel.

Isn't the seating capacity at the new stadium going to be around 60,000. That is probably a good number for the Buffalo market. Many fans will be priced out from going unfortunately.

It is going to be roughly 65k on paper but I’m not sure if the “party decks” that they have will be included in that. They are saying they may have up to 5-10k extra capacity for the party decks. Not sure if that will be in the 65k as I think they will be standing only options. Likely similar to the Sabres 200 level bar areas. I haven’t been to any newer stadium in the league where the standing room sections are utilized. Maybe those tix will be sold to non ST holders. Maybe it’s something you can buy as a ST holder. All things that will come to light eventually. Hopefully sooner than later.

But the fact that there’s a 7k person waiting list already makes it a huge waiting list imo.

Of course it is. They are just increasing their ST price points now so that when the new stadium is built and they double the tix prices again it’s a huge gain for them.

Just now, SoCal Deek said:

It’ll be a balancing act. They aren’t going to want to play in an empty stadium so I’m guessing it’ll take a couple of seasons to sort itself out.

I think with the current increase they’ve had, and continue to have almost every season, they can inch into the new stadium. Then slowly raise prices every year after that. But I’d look for them to start with about double the tix prices.

I don't see prices going down as long as the Bills are a perennial playoff team.  It's just how the cookie crumbles.  As much as it bums me out, I begrudge no one.

Just trying to be realistic. I’ve been a ST holder since 2006. My tix prices have more than doubled in that time. And it’s increasing every year. This year my prices raised 6% I believe. Then I did something extremely stupid and moved to the clubs where they doubled again. That’s my fault. But it was done for a purpose. Because when the new stadium is built, the club seat members will be contacted first regarding seating options.

So club seat STH will be given a choice of seating at the new stadium over anyone in the regular seating areas, regardless of seniority?

I haven't ruled out heading out to Orchard Park to tailgate with you f*ckers and just watching the game on TV in the lot.  It's actually pretty likely.

More or less. Yes

If I was a long time STH(I’m not) in the regular seating areas, and found out someone in the clubs who just became a STH in the last couple years, has seating dibs in the new stadium over me, I would tell the Bills to F off.

On August 2 2021, it was first reported that PSE was asking for 1.5 billion from the Erie and the state for a new stadium and upgrades at KeyBank center.  Do you have a link prior to that reporting that Poloncarz or the County wanted a new stadium built for the Bills?

Yes there will be temporary construction jobs.  After that, one can assume the current stadium management staff would resume work in the new stadium.

The sponsors that currently advertise in Hymark will no doubt continue to advertise in the shiny new stadium.

You said Pegula demanded, now it's asked.

Do I have poloncarz saying he wanted one, no.  But him denying it would be political suicide in Erie county.

Assumptions.  Ass u me.

The current sponsors are contracted to highmark.  That means nothing once the new stadium is built.  Again, assumption.

Erie County lawmakers voted approval of the stadium funding.  Poloncarz didn't veto it.

Poloncarz's acquiescence to a threat isn't quite the same as him personally  "wanting a new stadium".

The same article mentioned reports of the PSE threatening to move the team (PSE would later say  the same) if they didn't get what they want.  In most circles, that's not an "ask".  You understand this.

Yes, the new stadium will have sponsors.  Not sure what your point is there.  Are you intimating that there is a whole other cadre of potential Bills stadium sponsors advertisers that have been holding back sponsorship dollars, for decades, waiting for a new stadium?

Yeah that makes no sense.  The vast majority of the in stadium advertisers/sponsors will be (the same) local/regional businesses, as always.

Again, why would poloncarz veto the stadium? It means jobs and the bills staying in Erie county.  He wins votes even if he doesn't want it.

The article has Pegula quoted as threatening to move the team or that's just what they felt?

Do I think there are other sponsors out there? Yes.  You think original pizza logs is the sponsor they wanted to use for a leader expiring in a few years or would they prefer to go with a bigger corp and wanted to wait until the new stadium and lease was in place?

As I said earlier. Easier said than done. Asking to not be a fan is like asking to not care about your children. It’s in our blood. It’s why we’re all here. It’s why we sit here and debate topics in the Bills when the season isn’t even going on. To some people it’s more than just watching a game once a week. I’m sure you understand that, you’re here too. But yes, at some point people will have to make decisions if they want to keep giving this team their money and if it’s worth the cost of going to games, or if it isn’t anymore. Right now it’s worth it. Time will tell if it stays that way or not.

Buffalo Bills fans and New York State saved the NFL franchise. Good compromise sell the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. Terry Pegula losing crap with every arena team he owns doesn’t help with the decades of Buffalo Sabres suffering. How the hell do you own two NLL lacrosse teams the Buffalo Bandits and Rochester Knighthawks in a 15 team NLL professional lacrosse league and not win a thing in 12 years he has owned the Bandits nothing? That doesn’t make a Buffalo fans like myself filled with confidence Terry Pegula isn’t the village idiot as sports team owners. Corporate ownership that owns all the Buffalo sports together sucks that needs to end. Sell the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits Terry Pegula throw Buffalo fans a bone might go a long way mending fences public opinion wise in my opinion. Go Bills! Go Sabres! Go Bandits! In no way is being a fan of a sports team in any way, equivalent to being in an abusive relationship. Your relationship w the Bills sounds more a like that of a child who’s parents won’t buy them the toy want, when they want it, so they throw a fit in the aisle of Walmart…

I also like we’re at the part of the new stadium argument where “tickets are going to be too expensive”, but that it’s also a giant mistake that Pegulia didn’t self fund a dome in downtown Buffalo.  Because tickets in that scenario would be *more affordable*? 🤔  Not to mention the added cost of the infrastructure to put a stadium downtown that that would likely fall on the shoulders of taxpayers regardless of who’s funding the building 🙃

And for the record I think a downtown stadium would have been sick. But it ain’t gonna happen, so I’m going to just continue to my my normal great time, in OP, but in a shiny new stadium 🙌🙌🙌

Simply stating it’s easier said than done to not support the team anymore. We’re all in this. I’m in my 40s. Been a die hard fan all my life. Moved away to different states. At the end of the day I never swayed in my love for this team. Through the best years we’ve had in the 90s and now, and through the worst of times with a revolving door of coaches and QBs that couldn’t get it done.

like I said above. The time may come when it’s worth it to continue to pay the increases in ticket prices. For the product they put on the field for now, it’s worth it. If that continues once the new stadium is built, the increases at that time, and the product they put on the field is yet to be seen. There were time in the 17 year drought that you couldn’t give tickets away to games. I went to all of them. Every single one. Now there’s a 7k person waiting list for tickets. I wonder what that will look like after Josh is gone, and we can’t find another QB for 5+ years. When we haven’t made the playoffs in years. Will there still be a waiting list? Will people still be willing to spend $300+ to go to a single game? We will see. We will see.

and for the record I haven’t brought up the downtown or some thing in like 3 pages. I’ve conceded in the arguments.

Who are you a Terry Pegula relative? Being a Buffalo Bills fan has nothing to do with liking or not liking the current Bills owner Terry Pegula who I think is incompetent bum who can’t win the big game with all the sports teams he owns which is hard to do. Example Terry Pegula owns two lacrosse teams Buffalo Bandits for 12 years and the Rochester Knighthawks for 2 years in a 15 team NLL and yet he can’t win a championship. Doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in Terry Pegula the Buffalo Bills owner because regardless of the new Bills stadium he doesn’t know what he is doing as a sports team owner. There will be more Buffalo fans to fill up the owner is incompetent boat as the years go bye. I am a pioneer one of the first Buffalo sports fans not clouded by Terry Pegula money. I am pretty sure basing this on 49 years of watching sports of all sorts over the years Terry Pegula isn’t winning unfortunately because of the whole lacrosse deal situation the Buffalo Bandits are the New York Yankees of NLL lacrosse even that cheap Tom Gollasono and Larry Quinn won one championship 2008. Buffalo Bandits it’s been 12 years of ownership and counting for Terry Pegula Buffalo Bandits and Buffalo Sabres ownership wake up Buffalo he doesn’t have it as a sports team owner we need a call to the bull pen please sell the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits we need a new owner in my opinion.
