Brand J Posted August 10, 2021 Share Posted August 10, 2021 I wasn’t a fan of the Rousseau pick with JOK on the board, but I know why they made it. With all the positive reports on Rousseau I’m glad he’s not looking like the developmental project I thought he’d be. In that 2nd drill where he was next to Hughes, I’m surprised at the amount of ground Rousseau covered in comparison to Hughes, because it looked like Jerry was putting forth great effort while Rousseau was just sorta running the drill. Figures he just happened to be in town for what was apparently Allen's worst camp performance yet. From what I saw this past Saturday, Rousseau DOES look like the project you had initially thought he was. He's got work to do and a little bulk to add. I feel like he'll be able to hit the ground running next season but he'll only be involved in spot duty this season. Very talented player with a great wing span but he got owned by backup level tackles on Saturday. This seems to run contrary to every report we've heard from every different Bills reporter who has witnessed camp live every day, as well as praise that coach McDermott gave Rousseau on GMFB today. I certainly believe what you're saying, however I'd like to think there is some truth to some of those good reports. That said he is a rookie coming off sitting out last year so one would kinda expect him need some work. I certainly didn't expect him to come out blazing of course.
